Tarotscopes: November 2013

 Hello Lovelies!!

Its time again for the Tarotscopes! I hope you all had a wonderful October and are well rested for the holiday blitz that will soon be upon us! Sit back, just for this moment and enjoy the energies of autumn. Aside from spirits and spooky tales its one of my favorite seasons, waking up to chilly mornings that make you want to be a bed bug for just a little while longer, leaves falling on the ground for kids both large, small and furry to play in. Allow for expansion and change during this season, typically fall is a restive energy but I believe this season is the opposite, it is one of great momentum and a wonderful time to begin projecting your energy to manifest your desires!

Scorpio -  Happy Birthday Scorpio! You immediately hop into the Five of Swords, indicating that you are open to changes at the beginning of the month and you have released past resentments. Mid-month the Four of Pentacles shows that you are in a place of financial stability, right now is a good time to show how frugal you can be. You end the month with the Fool in reverse which warns that you should take some time to get guidance from the people around you as you may be missing details or forgetting to read fine print in new deals and opportunities heading your way!

Aries - Make use of your skills by embodying the Magician and using your resourcefulness to pull things together last minute. Now is the time to work on your most important projects as your ability to concentrate will be at its best this month. Remember that whole law cause and effect? The middle of November is a great time to keep that in mind as you move into Justice, be sure that all of your decisions are really well thought out both in the details and the big picture. Now is a great time to get out your pro/con list! You end the month in the Three of Pentacles giving you the opportunity to flourish in a team environment where you will learn a ton from the people around you!

Taurus - Let go of your baggage Taurus! Right now you may be feeling a little held back by old problems or redundant issues, now is the time to confront them and let them go as you sit in the Six of Swords reversed. The Knight of Wands greets you mid-month indicating a very impulsive mind set and an energy of action as you shuck off the burdens brought to light by the Six of Swords earlier in the month. You wrap up November with Temperance helping you to find your balance in this month of extremes!

Gemini - Immediately you meet up with the Six of Pentacles indicating that you are prosperous are now focused in helping those in need around you, charity and generosity are at the top of your mind. You then move into Six of Cups which brings a sense of nostalgia, whether meeting up with an old friend, going over pictures or reuniting with family, expect a lot of joy to come from this. You end with the Ten of Cups (which to me has always been a wish card as it has such a joyful and pure energy) which brings with it a sense of harmony, and can indicate a marriage or rekindling/reconnection between you and your spouse!

Cancer - Embrace your ability to communicate as you will need it as predicted by the Knight of Swords. It is important to retain your own voice within your discussions but be sure not to get to opinionated and react hastily to things that are said. Take a moment to speak to your higher self before responding to any comments or criticisms. You hit your balance with the Two of Pentacles during the middle of November, but it is important that you pay particular attention to time management as that will be your biggest challenge throughout the month! You end things on the Ace of Wands where everything feels new and inspiration is everywhere. Typically indicative of a new idea or new passion that you will be discovering be sure to remember to keep time management in there so you don't get so embroiled in it that you burn out!

Leo - The Star greets you at the beginning of the month bringing you a message of hope and a renewal of spirit. Soak in the good vibes to help prep you for the packed month ahead! At mid-month you meet the Queen of Cups who bestows on you a sense of calm and asks you to be compassionate towards others around you, particularly in work situations. You end the month with the Ten of Swords reversed telling you that you have recovered from a traumatic situation and the end of the chapter is about to be closed! 

Virgo -You passion can be felt from  mile away Virgo! The Knight of Wands comes in to help you find the proper channels for all of the energy. You may find yourself giving in to impulse at this time as new ideas flood your creative mind! Mid-month we see you moving into the Nine of Cups reverse which indicates that during this time you will find yourself focusing more on the physical world and trapped in materialism comparing your situation to others. Don't feed into this mindset and count your blessings. You end the month in the Eight of Swords reversed which indicates a great release of fears and things holding you back. We then see you moving into a new state of being with a different perspective of the world!

Libra -You begin November within the Ace of Pentacles! This a is a fabulous card to start out the month giving the promise of new financial opportunities and wealth, it can also indicate that you are in a state of manifestation so be careful how you think as it will come about whether positive or negative. You roll on into the Four of Cups reversed next giving you the sense that you need to pull back and maybe be a little more aloof with the people around you. You end the month in the Four of Wands denoting celebration, a sense of community and deepening of romantic relationships which could lead to further commitment!

Sagittarius - We see you bumping right into The Fool at the beginning of the month, who bestows on you the gift of feeling free! A new beginning is yours you merely need to take the leap! Mid-month you enter the Ace of Cups giving great depth to your emotions, they may actually become overwhelming in their intensity, there is also a great sense of compassion surrounding you. You end the month hanging out with the Hierophant who tells you that not is a great time to get some spiritual structure back in your life, developing routines that allow you to connect with your higher self, deity and the universe.

Capricorn - Get ready for an intense month! Beginning with the Queen of Wands you greet every challenge with a sense of will and a steely determination. Now is the best time to take on tough tasks and get them out of the way. Next you see the Knight of Pentacles who helps you break down your goals into their smallest steps giving you a more methodical system to work within. You end by meeting with Death, all of this work you've put in this month leads up to dramatic change, but this is change with a sacrifice (i.e. selling your house and moving for a better job) be prepared to give a little bit to gain big rewards!

Aquarius - You start out November by hooking up with the Queen of Pentacles reversed who warns you to keep balance between work and family, it is a tough situation right now making time for everything but it is imperative that you strike as close to even as possible right now. Next we see you drifting through the Five of Cups reversed, you've recently picked yourself up after a major loss or change and you are finally ready to truly move on. You end the month in the Princess of Swords creating this vibe of restlessness, as though you are not being challenged enough right now. Time to break out the puzzles and get that mind moving!

Pisces -Temperance tells you to take a moment and look for the purpose and meaning of the things going on around you at the moment. She also cautions balance and moderation right now, you may feel like going to extremes within emotions, she tells you to pick and choose your battles. Remember your feelings are not facts. Mid-month you shift into the Lovers reversed giving you a sense of disharmony within your relationships. You end the month in the Three of Pentacles reminding you that this month has been chock full of life lessons, sit back in the quiet moments and reflect on the changes your experiences have created.

Hello Lovelies!

May is here!! I hope with it we get some really nice weather, up here in the northeast it has still been wicked chilly! I want to give a shout out to my Taurean sister, Happy Birthday!! This month I am working with the Inspiring Butterflies deck, a 27 day course of self-discovery. The butterfly is one of the most recognized symbol of transformation, perfect for this month!! It is a 27 card oracle deck that you can use for yourself everyday or use the outlined booklet to help you transform your spiritual consciousness!
Each inspiring card has an affirmation on the back to help you feel more at peace with your day, it is great to meditate on the cards themselves or use the affirmation as a mantra during your daily centering rituals. Not  necessarily a deck that is made for the professional or even novice reader, however, it is one that is made for the person just getting into spirituality or looking for a deeper connection with their higher self.

Taurus (April 21 - May 20) – Happy Birthday Taurus! A beautiful pink butterfly comes forward for you, it is not the time to hold in Feelings. The butterfly is pictured with almost a ripple of colors coming from it. Indicating that by OWNING your FEELINGS this month it will release them to Universe.  If you are currently in a situation where you feel you cannot express your feelings, then write them down somewhere or speak them aloud to yourself! It is a way of saying, "This is how I feel" and letting it go.

Aries (March 21 - April 20) – Remember that you are worthy of blessings and abundance. The Survival butterfly indicates that this month you may feel slightly defeated, but this card serves as a reminder that you are meant to do more than survive you are meant to thrive. This month may be a little difficult to navigate but it will pass and remember to channel your higher self to overcome your obstacles!

Gemini (May 21 - June 21) – The butterfly of Confidence reminds you that no matter what decisions need to be made and opinions given your voice and your opinions are the only ones that matter! This month is about you gaining confidence in your thoughts, ideas and decision making, so no hesitating just let the thoughts flow!

Cancer (June 22 - July 22) – Be mindful not to just say things so you don't hurt a person's feelings. The butterfly of Truth encourages you to be honest with those around you and yourself, even if it hurts. Approach people respectfully, this isn't a free pass to be blunt. But it is an endorsement to speak from the heart.

Leo (July 23 - Aug. 22) – Fun is the name of the game this month Leo, the beautiful butterfly that represents it is filled with active colors like red, orange and yellow to help fuel your playful fire! Don't take anything to seriously this month and put a light hearted spin on any troubles. Do something outrageous, to make yourself giggle. Share a ton of those LOL cat Facebook pics, or get together with a friend who always gives you a good laugh. It is the key for you this month!

Virgo (Aug. 23 - Sept. 22) –  Three butterflies in green and pink are headed your way in May Virgo, they represent Balance, something that is going to be essential to your spirituality and your sanity! We give so much to others everyday, and rarely take the time to appreciate or pat ourselves on the back for a job well done. It is time to express some self love, which will help Balance your compassion and joy. The soothing green tones of the butterfly represent the heart chakra and aid you in soothing away any obstacles when it comes to embracing who you are and the awesomeness of that! 

Libra (Sept. 23 - Oct. 22) –  So many beautiful colors for you this month Libra! The soft green and blue tones of this butterfly represent the Unity of earth and air or water, the yellows represent the sun which is the unifier of these elements. More than creating connections with people it is a reminder that the love and care you give to other people must be unified with that which you give yourself. Otherwise it will lead to feelings of bitterness, resentment and anger. Now may be the time to pull back a little so you can reassess your own self-worth and image, readjust that image and then go back into your friendships or relationships with a new sense of understanding.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 - Nov. 21) – Lots of purple butterflies surround you this month Scorpio, tons of them!! These vibrant purple butterflies are a sign that you need to work on Communication. Have you ever been angry but not been able to figure out why? Or maybe you knew why but the words wouldn't come out to express it? What about a situation where someone asks you a question, you know the answer but you can't articulate it correctly? What happens? Sweaty palms, tangled words, and a lack of eye contact. In essence a lack of confidence or conviction. When we look at someone who has these things it is the opposite, direct eye contact, great words etc. This month is about facing obstacles that will help you to increase your confidence and conviction, that will allow you to blossom in the area of communication. Expect some fear, and maybe even some tangled words, but take advantage of the situation and see it as the life lesson it truly is.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 20) – OoOoOo...look at all the pretty colors!!! Yellow, purple, green, blue this beautiful butterfly is pretty darn inspiring. That makes sense though Sagittarius, it's the butterfly of Creativity! What a great theme for you this month, creativity at it's essence doesn't have to read 'artsy' it can be thinking outside of the box when it comes to solving a problem. When we do look at art though you can think of it as a form of self-expression and therapy. This butterfly is here to tell you to find a new creative way to express yourself and get your messages across, whether through pen and paper, drawing, creative problem solving or painting a room in the house a new color! Creativity allows you to experience that child like glee again of finding something new that you enjoy!

Capricorn (Dec. 21 - Jan. 19) – Its all about Love this month Capricorn!! Your desire to love and be loved creates compassion in your heart, which is why the predominant color of your butterfly is green! But there are hints of azure, blue and purple as well, indicating the ever changing nature of life, the ability to see others in a different light once you are connected to the source of Love & a reminder that you are never alone as long as you are connected to that source! This is a totally reassuring message for you this month when things may be a little off balance and crazy.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 - Feb. 18) –  Lovely olive colors with pinches of bright fuchsia and deep blues this butterfly is one of Peace. It's colors are not overly stimulating but the blue background it lays upon reminds you that when you "Go with the Flow" you are more in alignment with universal energy! Let passion and forgiveness ignite your spirit, this allows the people around to be their most authentic selves  giving YOU the gift of peace!

Pisces (Feb. 19 - March 20) – Get a boost to your Self Esteem this month as the butterfly flits around you! It is time to embrace your strengths and recognize that they ARE valued by the people around you.  From early on we are taught never to think to much of ourselves or get a "big head" personally I don't see a problem with you acknowledging that you are the god of your own microcosm. This is a truth, YOU should be the center of your universe. More often though we fall into the cheer leading role for others and forget that! This butterfly is a gentle reminder for you to be your own cheerleader, acknowledge you innate abilities, talents and strengths, give yourself a moment to realize how wonderful and amazing you really are!

Tarotscopes for the Year 2013

Am I the only one who felt the growing pains of 2012? A great year but with such a trans-formative number as 5 an equal part male & female number it was all about constant change. I am happy to see us settling into a nice solid 6 for the year of 2013 this digit is considered one of the most harmonious in the 1-9 series as it gets along with most all other numbers! It is considered the number of motherhood, caring, nurturing & sacrifice. The number 6 typically favors the underdog in all situations too!! What I love about the number 6 is it gets over the hump of the 9 year cycle. Expect a lot of rather strange events, particularly in the areas of nature & politics! This year will also emphasize the idea that the world is getting smaller. You will want to watch things on a more global scale as we begin to see how things around the global truly do have an immediate effect on us. A lot of people slated 2013 as a year of spiritual awakening, I consider it to definitely be one small part of the giant puzzle for this year. I believe a lot of situations will be coming to a head as the nurturing nature of 6 pulls out issues like a dentist does teeth.
This month we are doing our '2013's Theme' readings! Find out what your personal goals, lessons or achievements will be and how to get there in 2013! This month I am using the Fenestra Tarot by Chatriya! A gorgeous deck, with fabulous artistry published by U.S. Games! I remember working at my first metaphysical shop, this deck was there and I admired it, with rich detail & beautiful double rose on the back of each card. I wanted the deck pretty badly  so I'm excited to be adding this deck to my collection & to bring it to each of you! They are more traditional than some of the decks I've reviewed in the past such as the Transparent Tarot by Emily Carding (who by the way has a deck geared toward the dog lover that just came out) or this past November's Inspiration for Survivors deck by Aunia Kahn & Russell J. Moon.
The beauty of this deck is in it's versatility & simplicity. It sticks to the same set up as the Rider-Waite but can have mass appeal in its eclectic characters! From Egyptian influences to Japanese anime like figures there will be a card in this deck that fits your taste. Even though the portraits themselves range from all over the globe the running theme of colors ties it all together nicely. This is a great deck for anyone, beginners, intermediates or advanced!

Capricorn - Happy Birthday Capricorn!! 
Theme: Your personal theme this year is the Empress and woman full of life & pregnant with ideas. She is the go to girl to get the ball rolling but not necessarily the one to carry out the tasks. Follow your creativity this year Capricorn where ever it may lead!
Challenges: One of your biggest challenges this year will be in relationships as depicted by the 2 of Cups in reverse, misunderstandings, insecurity & stubborn attitudes will lead to drama & trauma. 
Achievements: Your biggest achievements will come from the sector of work/money this year is one of extras! Don't be expect this year to be easy though you will have to work hard but it will be completely worth it!

Aries 
Theme: This year the theme for you is the Fool, this does not mean that it is time for you to act like a fool, although I feel you should always keep open to having fun! You should however, be prepared to get a little spontaneous, you will begin to feel restless and may be even ache for some changes to come around mid-year. This is also the year for you to take initiative, no time to sit on your laurels, you've already been planning now you need to take action!
Challenges: The 5 of Swords reversed indicates that this year will be a big challenge in the way of decision making & submitting. Do not allow yourself to be intimated this year you are meant to learn to stand on your own to feet & voice your opinion. There will also be a lot of harder decisions that need to be made, rather than waiting to see what Fate has to say take control!
Achievements: 2 of Pentacles say that harmony will come in around you this year Aries! Balance is yours, also you will have the added ability to see things for what they truly are, rather than getting caught up in the illusions that we create. 

Taurus
Theme: The Moon marks 2013 for you as the year of spiritual awakenings & transformations! Not every change will be on your terms, but embrace them nonetheless!
Challenges:  The 7 of Swords reversed presents your obstacles for this year, mainly, allowing yourself to say,"I can't do it on my own' and seeking out advice from other sources. The other big challenge is to look at all possible long term outcomes rather than having a 'here and now' attitude or worrying about what will happen a year from now. This year challenges you to look at ten or twenty years down the road.
Achievements: Commitment & devotion are your achievements for 2013 whether you are gathering devotion from co-workers & loved ones or finally getting the commitment from your other half or a raise from your boss!

Gemini  
Theme: The Magician is your guide of 2013! He tells you to use your skills with determination & not to wait for opportunities but take initiative to create them!
Challenges:  The 8 of Wands tells me you will stand at a crossroads during this year Gemini, and it will be a big one! There is an opportunity to make a new way, to take a different road to reach your goals or to continue along the same path that you've already plotted.
Achievements: You have the lovely Page of Coins in your achievements sector! A messenger of hope & material gain! Expect a possible windfall or great news that will definitely make your year!

Cancer 
Theme: The Wheel of Fortune asks you to let go of control this year & let Destiny guide you to your path & successes. 
Challenges: Change is your challenge of 2013 Cancer, as depicted by the Knight of Wands, learn to adapt quickly if you want to excel!
Achievements: The 10 of Cups indicates contentment, happiness & a sense of dreams realized in relationships & family!

Leo 

Theme: Keep your spirits up this year Leo it is not the time to have a negative attitude opportunities are on the rise for you this year says The Star! 
Challenges: 10 of Wands indicates that this year you need to be careful of co-dependent relationships, your priorities & burdens. This year is one to clean house and let go of negative influences on your life.
Achievements:  The Page of Cups brings word of cooperation, and passion. You will find your success by following you bliss & your love for what you do!

Virgo

Theme: Aim for leadership positions Virgo, so says the Emperor. This year is also one to stand by your convictions rather than playing it safe and submitting to ideas that you may not agree with.
Challenges:  This year is really going to challenge our determination, as the 7 of Cups reversed indicates. Look for a lot of situations where you are being questioned or the people around you doubt your success. Don't let that hold you back though, it's a life lesson!
Achievements: Expect to reap the rewards of all your hard work for the past couple of years! The 7 of Pentacles indicates that you will be making a nice profit off your labor!


Libra

Theme: The Chariot rules 2013 for you! There is no better card in the deck to have when you want a victorious year!! Tap into your determination and will to make the best of the situations coming up this year and know that all conflicts or issues will settle down very quickly & most likely in your favor!
Challenges: The biggest challenge for you of 2013 comes from the Knight of Pentacles reversed as we see you becoming a wee bit of a workaholic. Be sure to temper your work with enough play!
Achievements: Expect a lot of recognition and success this year. You will achieve the fame, notoriety and financial profits that you aim for!

Scorpio

Theme: Death visits you in 2013, no not the physical kind! Expect transformation and rebirth this year, the end of one path to begin another! 
Challenges: This is the year to battle fears and anxieties. A lot of situations will creep up that challenge you to face the things that you worry about the most, whether it is a cheating spouse or the feeling of failure. Face them head on and realize feelings are not facts, merely our mind trying to protect us.
Achievements:The Three of Pentacles gives you recognition for your creativity & craftsmanship. Look into ways to get yourself & your skill set into the spotlight! Once you've opened up the opportunity it is all gravy!!

Sagittarius

Theme: Justice grants you balance for 2013. Embrace it, the year will not be dull but it will be in order. Expect routines that have been established to continue and finances to be in accord.
Challenges: The Queen of Swords reversed tells you to face gossip mongers head on and to remove toxic people from your life no matter how close they may be.

Aquarius

Theme: 2012 was a hell of a year for you. The Hermit tells you to take some time out this year and reflect both on the past year and in upcoming situations. It is imperative that you take a moment and retreat into yourself prior to making any decisions this year Aquarius, no impulsive choices!
Challenges: There are some opportunities to create the change that you are looking for this year, however the challenge lies in the amount of determination and focus it will cost you to create it. For the typically lackadaisical Aquarius it may be a little bit more than you are willing to give, however, that is the idea of challenge....can you do it? That is what the Ace of Swords intends to find out!
Achievements: The 9 of Cups gives you the extra oomph you were looking for in order to help you out with your challenge this year. It is a wishes fulfilled card, so put your energy out there, this is a year of manifestation for you Aquarius! Take advantage!

Pisces

Theme: Temperance tells you to take a moment in 2013 remember everything in moderation, that is your mantra for the year. Especially as you dive headlong into new projects!
Challenges: You biggest challenge is to learn to RELAX!!! Enjoy your respite rather than trying to buck against it, take hold of your solitude and allow yourself sometime for looking inward. Patience is also a necessity this year as things move pretty slowly particularly in the first half of the year.
Achievements:  I would say you are getting to good at your work, efficiency is your strong suit this year don't expect just to catch up but to ACTUALLY get ahead!! This in turn may be part of the reason why things seem so slow and easy around you rather than the chaos you may be used to. Embrace it!!

Ghosts of Buffalo by Tim Shaw - Review by Katie Boyd

I am usually busy writing books myself and never get much time to read other books,until my publisher sent me Ghosts of Buffalo by my good friend Tim Shaw. I read the book cover to cover in about two hours. It is a full color book with tons of wonderful legends and historical facts regarding some of the most incredible haunted places in Buffalo NY. Tim also writes about his time as a re-enactor at well known Fort Niagara, and his experiences with the spirits that still haunt the military site. What I loved about this book was the beautiful colored pictures and being a huge history buff , I found the back stories very intriguing. I suggest if anyone loves haunted history and NY, get this book because you will not be disappointed.

How To Make A Psi-Wheel

I borrowed this wonderful article from http://controlmind.info a wonderful site dedicated to discovering the true potential of the mind! A psi wheel is quite simple to set up and requires very basic materials. You probably have everything you need to make a psi wheel laying around your house right now. All it takes to make your own PSI wheel is a small square (approximately 2.5x2.5 inches) of a piece of paper or aluminum foil, a regular sewing needle, and a small lump of clay or a book to hold the needle in an upright position.  Below is the instruction on how to make a psi wheel:

1. Cut a square piece of paper about 2.5x2.5 inches, but a little smaller or larger will still work most of the time.
2. Fold the piece of paper diagonally to form a triangle. Open the paper back and simply fold the opposite corner over to form another triangle.
3. Turn the paper over.
4. Fold the paper in half both ways.
5. Push in the opposite corners towards the center to make it as a little "hat" with the middle pointing up and the sides slightly bended down.

Now, it's all ready and folded up in the way it should. In this way, it will keep balanced when you place it on top of the needle and it will easily spin around when right energies is applied. Then, just to see how it functions, gently blow on the paper wheel (psi wheel), and you will see it spin gently and stable around on top. If there is too much friction making it hard to spin, fold it slightly more leaving the top tip more wide so it doesn't get stuck on the top of the needle. You can refer to the illustration below to get more understanding on how to make a psi wheel.

Hi Lovelies! It's November and time for your tarotscopes!! This month I used the Pirate Tarot authored by Carrie and Lucas Aodio with illustrations by Liz ‘Galindorf’ Harper.
If you are a pirate enthusiast, fan of woodcarvings or just like a deck that has that element of fun then the Pirate Tarot is for you! It was a blast to read these cards! At the end of the month you meet the Lady Captain of Pistols giving you a sense of sexuality, and a boost of extra energy.

Aries - You begin the month in the Two of Pistols, indicating a feeling of satisfaction and at the same time restlessness. Psychic Games for Parties and Groups!

I’ve been to a lot of parties and psychic work is never a boring topic. More than once I’ve been grilled about my background, cases I’ve worked as a paranormal investigator and medium and more. When I inevitably come back to the conclusion we are all psychic, they usually balk or say, “I’ve had  a couple of experiences.” This is when I typically will initiate the question “Why not?” We are a social species and are hard wired to be a little bit competitive so psychic party games are great for both! Not to mention when meeting new people these games are great icebreakers!

Sending and Receiving Games

They are exactly as they sound, one person thinks of  an object, person or place and the group tries to guess what it is.  Try it with colors!

Game: What am I Thinking?

Pick one person to be the sender, it is best if the person is good with creative visualization. Then have everybody write down the color that they see. Give everyone 40 seconds to do this. Compare to see who got it right. Do it two more times then switch to a different sender. For every color guessed right is 3 points, to guess wrong is -2 first person to reach 21 wins! Oftentimes couples, or family will be more intuitive with each other and you may notice they pick up on what the other is thinking more quickly or accurately. This is due to the bond shared between them. Kind of like twins. You can incorporate pretty much anything into the sending and receiving games like animals, numbers, household items. Assign your own point values to harder subjects

Game: The Human Pendulum

Everyone stands in a circle, they pick one person to be the pendulum. The player who is the pendulum leave the room while the rest of the circle whispers among themselves as to one person in the circle that they will focus on. When they are done the “pendulum” will come back in. Have them stand in the center of the circle and close their eyes. Everyone place a finger on him or her and focus on the person in the group you agreed upon. The “pendulum” will start to sway. What you are looking to achieve is to have the “pendulum” point to that person. It happens almost every time.

Psychometry Games

Psychometry literally means to measure the spirit or soul of an object. It is gathering information through the touching of objects. The things around us hold memory and the objective is to discover what those memories are!

Game: Who’s Is It?

Have everyone bring something (either a piece of jewelry, key etc.) that no one has seen before put them all in a shoe box with a hole at the top. Have each person pick an object out of the box (if it’s yours put it back in the box discreetly). Let everyone sit with their object for a second getting a feel for it. When everyone feels they have a name then go ahead and let them name off who they believe their item belongs to.

It's All In The Fingers

Who wouldn’t love to be able to recognize a toxic personality by just glancing at them? When you're hiring someone, wouldn’t you love to have that edge, to be able to tell right away if someone is orderly or slovenly, if they're looking to work their way up or are willing to settle? I take a lot of stock in the way a person’s fingers look. I know that sounds crazy, but it’s true!

Now, when you read a hand you always want to go to a subject's dominant one because it's representative of present/future. The dominant hand is the hand a person uses to write.

Take the pinky finger for instance, it’s the smallest of the five digits but it is all about getting noticed. Go through the celebrity rag mags, or sites like PopEater.com and look at pictures of your favorite public figures. How far does their pinky finger reach away from their other fingers? The farther it reaches, the more they love the spotlight! For example, look at this picture of Angelina Jolie. No matter how much she denies it, our girl lovvvess the attention she gets.

The ring finger is the finger that's dedicated to emotions. You always want to make a quick comparison of someone’s ring and pointer finger. Are they the same length? Is the ring finger longer or is the pointer longer? If the ring finger is the longest than this person is usually more emotionally oriented. In other words, they make decisions using their ‘gut’ and how they are feeling in the moment. If the pointer is longer, they're extremely logical and analytical. If their fingers are the same length they are both emotionally and logically balanced.

If their middle finger is longer than the width of their palm, your subject is very critical of the people around them. This means that they may have tendencies towards complaining or being overly negative toward situations. If their middle finger is shorter than they are critical of themselves. If their palm and middle finger are the same length, then they take an even approach.

The thumb is the seat of aggression; so if you're looking for leaders you really want to pay attention to this finger. The wider the tip the more aggressive a person will be. They will go after what they want and god forbid someone get in their way! If the pad of their thumb is flat this means that they are no push over and may have more of a tendency to be seen as a bully. If you look at the photo to the right from JustJared.com you will see on Kate’s right hand (the one not holding the bag) three things. Her pinky sticks way out (showing that she likes recognition and fame), her ring finger is longer than her pointer finger (showing that she goes mostly by emotion and is easily frazzled) and her thumb pad is flat as a pancake (which tells us she really does enjoy getting her way and may apply ample pressure to the people around her in order to do so) these are just a few of the things that you can see in Kate Gosselin’s hands.

In comparison, if we look at the hand of the late Michael Jackson, you will see that he too was more emotionally oriented. His ring finger is much longer than his pointer, because of this vast difference I would say he was an emotional extremist, either really happy or really sad with no in between. Also you will see that his fingers are shorter, meaning he was quite self-critical. The V between his thumb and palm is rather wide, indicating a very giving personality. The middle finger stands straight but his pointer is crooked indicating that he looks at things with a very different logic than most people. It also leans away from his middle finger, which tells me that he does not learn lessons through logic. In other words, he would need strong emotional consequences before he would learn not to do something again.

These are just a few of the things you can tell by looking at someone’s fingers.

Tarotscopes For February!

Hello Lovelies!

Unfortunately, because of my schedule, I will have to start posting the Tarotscopes as a monthly thing, but along with the Tarotscopes I will be highlighting some of my adventures as well! I hope this doesn't deter any of you from checking back often, as there will be new posts all of the time!

Aries

You're "get up and go, got up and went" this month, Aries. You will be suffering from a little bit of lethargy. This is indicated by the Eight of Cups, but surrounding this card you also have the Two of Discs and the Devil. Everyone always looks oddly at me when the Devil comes up in their spread. But it's not as evil a card as everyone may think. The Two of Discs indicates changes happening around you and I feel that this may pertain to work. However, you will also be in a place where it will be easy for you to adapt to these changes. The Devil gives me a little bit of a clearer insight, showing that you will be using your stubborn nature and your optimistic outlook to change a possibly negative situation into a rewarding positive one.

Taurus

The Four of Cups indicates that during the month of February you will be surrounded by material things, symbols of accomplishment and luxury, Taurus. However, it shows that you will also be restless. The Emperor also makes an appearance in your spread, which tells me that the potential for new love or even a rekindling of a current romance will take place during this month. The Princess of Disks also makes an appearance, connecting with the Emperor. If you have been looking to get pregnant now is the month to try for it. This month is great as far as fertility is concerned on all aspects. Mentally, spiritually and physically.

Gemini

The Knight of Wands appears in your cards this month, Gemini. You will be on a crusade during the month of February; not fighting anyone in particular but pushing for your creative ideas to come to fruition and be recognized for the genius that they are. This can also apply to a situation where you feel something is unfair and you fight to be heard. This month is one for self-assertion and really learning to put your foot down. Cancer

The Hierophant tells me someone is coming into the picture who will act as a guide for you. A giver of good advice, this person is definitely one to be listened to.

Leo

The Devil is the theme for you this month Leo, along with the World and 9 of Wands. The Devil speaks to us of turning negative energy into positive, it also touches on sexuality and physical confrontations. This tells me that this month will be one of ironing out details between two people, it will also be a sexually charged month for you -- but there may be a communication disconnect even with the great fun you have in bed. The World shows us that your worldview will change this month. Instead of relying on illusions and false beliefs, your eyes will be wide open and you will be hit by stark reality. Pisces
