Tarotscopes: May 2013

Hello Lovelies!

May is here!! I hope with it we get some really nice weather, up here in the northeast it has still been wicked chilly! I want to give a shout out to my Taurean sister, Happy Birthday!! This month I am working with the Inspiring Butterflies deck, a 27 day course of self-discovery. The butterfly is one of the most recognized symbol of transformation, perfect for this month!! It is a 27 card oracle deck that you can use for yourself everyday or use the outlined booklet to help you transform your spiritual consciousness!
Each inspiring card has an affirmation on the back to help you feel more at peace with your day, it is great to meditate on the cards themselves or use the affirmation as a mantra during your daily centering rituals. Not  necessarily a deck that is made for the professional or even novice reader, however, it is one that is made for the person just getting into spirituality or looking for a deeper connection with their higher self.

Taurus (April 21 - May 20) – Happy Birthday Taurus! A beautiful pink butterfly comes forward for you, it is not the time to hold in Feelings. The butterfly is pictured with almost a ripple of colors coming from it. Indicating that by OWNING your FEELINGS this month it will release them to Universe.  If you are currently in a situation where you feel you cannot express your feelings, then write them down somewhere or speak them aloud to yourself! It is a way of saying, "This is how I feel" and letting it go.

Aries (March 21 - April 20) – Remember that you are worthy of blessings and abundance. The Survival butterfly indicates that this month you may feel slightly defeated, but this card serves as a reminder that you are meant to do more than survive you are meant to thrive. This month may be a little difficult to navigate but it will pass and remember to channel your higher self to overcome your obstacles!

Gemini (May 21 - June 21) – The butterfly of Confidence reminds you that no matter what decisions need to be made and opinions given your voice and your opinions are the only ones that matter! This month is about you gaining confidence in your thoughts, ideas and decision making, so no hesitating just let the thoughts flow!

Cancer (June 22 - July 22) – Be mindful not to just say things so you don't hurt a person's feelings. The butterfly of Truth encourages you to be honest with those around you and yourself, even if it hurts. Approach people respectfully, this isn't a free pass to be blunt. But it is an endorsement to speak from the heart.

Leo (July 23 - Aug. 22) – Fun is the name of the game this month Leo, the beautiful butterfly that represents it is filled with active colors like red, orange and yellow to help fuel your playful fire! Don't take anything to seriously this month and put a light hearted spin on any troubles. Do something outrageous, to make yourself giggle. Share a ton of those LOL cat Facebook pics, or get together with a friend who always gives you a good laugh. It is the key for you this month!

Virgo (Aug. 23 - Sept. 22) –  Three butterflies in green and pink are headed your way in May Virgo, they represent Balance, something that is going to be essential to your spirituality and your sanity! We give so much to others everyday, and rarely take the time to appreciate or pat ourselves on the back for a job well done. It is time to express some self love, which will help Balance your compassion and joy. The soothing green tones of the butterfly represent the heart chakra and aid you in soothing away any obstacles when it comes to embracing who you are and the awesomeness of that! 

Libra (Sept. 23 - Oct. 22) –  So many beautiful colors for you this month Libra! The soft green and blue tones of this butterfly represent the Unity of earth and air or water, the yellows represent the sun which is the unifier of these elements. More than creating connections with people it is a reminder that the love and care you give to other people must be unified with that which you give yourself. Otherwise it will lead to feelings of bitterness, resentment and anger. Now may be the time to pull back a little so you can reassess your own self-worth and image, readjust that image and then go back into your friendships or relationships with a new sense of understanding.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 - Nov. 21) – Lots of purple butterflies surround you this month Scorpio, tons of them!! These vibrant purple butterflies are a sign that you need to work on Communication. Have you ever been angry but not been able to figure out why? Or maybe you knew why but the words wouldn't come out to express it? What about a situation where someone asks you a question, you know the answer but you can't articulate it correctly? What happens? Sweaty palms, tangled words, and a lack of eye contact. In essence a lack of confidence or conviction. When we look at someone who has these things it is the opposite, direct eye contact, great words etc. This month is about facing obstacles that will help you to increase your confidence and conviction, that will allow you to blossom in the area of communication. Expect some fear, and maybe even some tangled words, but take advantage of the situation and see it as the life lesson it truly is.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 20) – OoOoOo...look at all the pretty colors!!! Yellow, purple, green, blue this beautiful butterfly is pretty darn inspiring. That makes sense though Sagittarius, it's the butterfly of Creativity! What a great theme for you this month, creativity at it's essence doesn't have to read 'artsy' it can be thinking outside of the box when it comes to solving a problem. When we do look at art though you can think of it as a form of self-expression and therapy. This butterfly is here to tell you to find a new creative way to express yourself and get your messages across, whether through pen and paper, drawing, creative problem solving or painting a room in the house a new color! Creativity allows you to experience that child like glee again of finding something new that you enjoy!

Capricorn (Dec. 21 - Jan. 19) – Its all about Love this month Capricorn!! Your desire to love and be loved creates compassion in your heart, which is why the predominant color of your butterfly is green! But there are hints of azure, blue and purple as well, indicating the ever changing nature of life, the ability to see others in a different light once you are connected to the source of Love & a reminder that you are never alone as long as you are connected to that source! This is a totally reassuring message for you this month when things may be a little off balance and crazy.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 - Feb. 18) –  Lovely olive colors with pinches of bright fuchsia and deep blues this butterfly is one of Peace. It's colors are not overly stimulating but the blue background it lays upon reminds you that when you "Go with the Flow" you are more in alignment with universal energy! Let passion and forgiveness ignite your spirit, this allows the people around to be their most authentic selves  giving YOU the gift of peace!

Pisces (Feb. 19 - March 20) – Get a boost to your Self Esteem this month as the butterfly flits around you! It is time to embrace your strengths and recognize that they ARE valued by the people around you.  From early on we are taught never to think to much of ourselves or get a "big head" personally I don't see a problem with you acknowledging that you are the god of your own microcosm. This is a truth, YOU should be the center of your universe. More often though we fall into the cheer leading role for others and forget that! This butterfly is a gentle reminder for you to be your own cheerleader, acknowledge you innate abilities, talents and strengths, give yourself a moment to realize how wonderful and amazing you really are!

Hello Lovelies!
May is here!! I hope with it we get some really nice weather, up here in the northeast it has still been wicked chilly! I want to give a shout out to my Taurean sister, Happy Birthday!! This month I am working with the ShadowFox Tarot by Richard and Jennifer ShadowFox. I have to say that I respect all tarot creators, that there is so much work, heart and soul that goes into creating any deck! However, when it comes to this deck I have to say I LOVE the book more than the deck. For those of you who have been following the Truthful Tarot you know that I never encourage people to read the books that come with decks, that I feel it is better to use your own interpretations but this book is AWESOME. I seriously feel it could have been sold on it's own without the deck and been worth the money! From astrological & alchemical correlations to the cards mood music and mythological connections it details everything you ever needed to know. I just want to know how they discovered the blood types of the cards!!
The deck itself is all based off of the idea of shadows, and I get that, there is a ton of negative space and the computerized imagery is not all that dynamic to me. I personally don't get a ton of inspiration from it and it's not the lack of color, I have read many black and white decks. There was no one card that jumped out and said, "Hey, look at me!" or any emotion coming through the cards. Again though, I do respect the time and effort put into deck and the ShadowFox Tarot is no different I respect what these creative individuals were aiming for but it felt to me as though the deck was more of an afterthought to the book.
I may get some flak for that, just know it is MY experience in working with this deck and MY opinion. I do feel this deck and especially the book is GREAT for any beginner or even advanced reader! It is phenomenal!

Taurus (April 21 - May 20) – Happy Birthday Taurus! You begin May in the Seven of Swords be sure to take advice given to you at the beginning of the month! Mid-month you meet the Hermit  telling you to let go of old grudges, and do some soul searching to help you move forward. You end the month in the Six of Swords giving the impression that you will be moving forward at light speed!

Aries (March 21 - April 20) – The Four of Swords greets you at the beginning of the month bringing with it a sense of stagnation and a break from hostility or a truce. Take advantage of it and allow yourself some time to rejuvenate! Next you move into the Queen of Pentacles follow the impulse to take a closer look at your financials, now is a great time to rework your budget and take a second look at your bank accounts. You finish out May in the Page of Cups indicating that now is a great time to head out on your own, there may be some extra obligations that you need to take care of but they are short term. This card can also indicate the birth or conception of a baby!

Gemini (May 21 - June 21) – Pay attention to your communication sources Gemini! The Page of Swords warns that your inbox, text or IM may get flooded with people wanting your attention. Vet them out and be sure to not take on to many obligations. Go into things with a curious and open mind over the first few weeks of May even the oddest opportunities may be worthwhile. Career changes, abundance, prosperity, goals reached! Sounds good right? Well you are in luck! Your in the Ace of Pentacles mid-May, indicating that your financial  and career goals will be met. You finish the month out in the Ace of Cups indicating that now is NOT the time to hold back your feelings, whether you are currently in a relationship or been keeping quiet with your crush don't hold back!


Cancer (June 22 - July 22) – Get comfy in your creativity because the Empress says it's time to be the idea person!! Just remember to remember those ideas! Write down your genius so that you have plenty of ideas just in case later on you hit a creative drought. You move into the Ten of Swords mid-month bringing with it a sense of foreboding, financial issues will become apparent during this time so just be careful with your money. This card can also indicate a possible bankruptcy or bad advice. You end the month in The Fool who tells you to be careful of extravagance and now is the time to walk on the conservative side, really weigh you options and look before you leap.

Leo (July 23 - Aug. 22) – Rule with benevolence says the Queen of Wands some may interpret your current way of decision making as hasty or aggressive but you know what your doing. Do not let your pride get in the way over the next couple of weeks though and be open to criticism. Work, work, work! But are you working because you love it or because it's a great way to keep your mind off of other things? The Ten of Wands wants you to remember your friends and family need you too! The Moon tells you to pay attention to your intuition even if it means taking a more difficult road at the end of the month.

Virgo (Aug. 23 - Sept. 22) –  Death greets you at the beginning of the month indicating that there is big (and possibly uncomfortable) change on the horizon. It is important that you go with this change, and learn to detach a little bit in order to take a step back and see where this change leads. Mid-month brings you to the Two of Wands telling you that you have had success with the changes at the beginning of the month but that patience is still called for in order to attain your goals. At the end of the month you move into the Four of Pentacles saying that although you may go by the motto, "If you want it done right, do it yourself." You may be inadvertently pushing away others around you. Now is the time to delegate responsibilities and trust the people around you to fulfill the tasks necessary to get the job done.

Libra (Sept. 23 - Oct. 22) – Balance dear Libra balance!!! I know your frustrated with this seeming eternal struggle as depicted by the Two of Pentacles but Universe tells you now is not time to try to control the situation around you rather stay fluid and go with the flow. The Hanged Man greets you at the middle of the month telling you that now is the time to stand backstage and be a supporting character rather than center stage. At the end of the month your focus should be on your total commitment to new projects and your current path as told by The Lovers.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 - Nov. 21) – Take time for your family Scorpio! Now is the time to recollect old family stories, and traditions says the Ten of Pentacles. Pass it down to your family, look to imbue them with the strength of your ancestors. Don't let you passion get the best of you! The King of Swords indicates that now is the time to collect the information, analyze, check and double check before making any important decisions! The Queen of Cups tells you to use your innate ability to help & heal for those around you at the end of the month.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 20) –  Discipline and determination have brought you thus far Sagittarius keep going The Chariot promises you success at the beginning of May. Try it again, and again, and again. In order to achieve sometimes we have to do the same things in repetition to know that we have it EXACTLY right! The Eight of Pentacles warns that you must not become frustrated, that you will gain recognition or promotion in your chosen field of study or work but right now it is about finding the formula for the perfect result you are looking for in the task at hand. This will help you to gain that respect from co-workers and leaders within your field. The Seven of Wands ends the month for you with a great big

Capricorn (Dec. 21 - Jan. 19) – Events have been set in motion Capricorn now all you can do is wait to see if your efforts, planning and diligence were worthwhile. In the meantime the Eight of Wands encourages you to get ready for some new adventures coming up which include some possible travel plans. Mid-month brings with it the energy of The Magician, giving you permission to truly seize the day! Recognize that you CAN and WILL become who you aspire to be by using your determination and your talents. You end May in the Two of Cups indicating the beginning of a new partnership, this may include love or business. Either way it is a binding and lasting affair in which you will find much contentment and happiness.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 - Feb. 18) –Its all about the future my water bearing friend the Knight of Wands indicates that you should follow your impulses and plan ahead because the next six months are of great importance to your future! Temperance stops by mid-month to help you learn moderation, now is not the time to go to extremes but rather attempt some form of balance. Don't stress to much or party to hard! You end the month in the Six of Wands reminding you to give credit where it is due and to recognize that your successes (and failures) are due to more than just your efforts.

Pisces (Feb. 19 - March 20) – You begin the month in the Six of Cups bringing a sense of nostalgia and thinking about the 'good ol' days' it is also a time to focus on the younger generation and their growth. Mid-month you meet the Emperor carrying with him a call to action, now is not the time to sit on your laurels! Get up, and get motivated! Assert control over your current situation and bring order to the chaos surrounding you. You end the month in the Three of Pentacles the house of money has gifted you with an opportunity to put your skills on display to better help you solidify a good financial position. If your an artist get working and start planning for an exhibit, if you work in an office be prepared because a big project will be coming your way. Tarotscopes May 16 - 31st

Hello Lovelies!

So sorry I missed last month, projects have gotten away with me. I launched an internet radio station with Jeremiah Greer from Shadows Media LLC called Tenacity Radio Network! We are looking to provide some of the best eclectic entertainment on the web. You can check it out at http://www.tenacityradio.com. Now on to what you have been waiting for! Since the month is half over I will be giving mini-reads for the rest of this month and we will get back on schedule beginning in June!

Aries: Watch your empathy for the rest of the month Aries your compassionate nature may get the best of you. However, there does appear to be some attention coming your way for a good deed done. The way that the Sun comes across this seems to be more of an emotional support and getting positive feedback for helping a friend through a tough time. Towards the end of the month, it will all be about materialism as the Emperor shows his face near the end of your spread. This shows that you are very much concerned with concrete world and the stability of financial consistency!

Taurus: Trying to hide secrets Taurus? There is some information you are trying to keep private, whether planning a birthday party or surprising a friend. However, the Moon appears to show us that these secrets will not keep. You are bursting at the seams to tell!! The Judgment card appears alongside the Moon...those secrets...they will not be secrets for long. Judgment also signifies a time to really look in the mirror and come to terms with who you are, the good, bad and beautiful.

Gemini: The Five of Wands appears upright for you for the second half of May showing that you are putting a lot of energy out there and may not be getting enough back! Be careful how you are focusing your energy and be sure the projects and tasks are worthwhile. It also speaks of a time of financial balance the end of May will give you a little bit of extra cash that you may want to put away for a rainy day. Watch the impulsive spending!

Cancer: Now is the time to share money, even if you do not have it. You are hitting a Karmic good point from now until the second week in June, what you put out there will definitely be returned three fold if not more. Invest! Spiritual and mental growth will abound for you this last half of May there may be some growing pains but roll with the punches and you will come out on top!

Leo: Money is not your top priority right now, as much as you may be feeling the pinch there are other things on your list of to-do's. Emotionally you are a little off kilter this last half of the month but no worries! June will correct it! You may feel a little sluggish and just very heavy this last half of the month, a lot of that comes from the stress of multiple projects. Just be sure to take deep breaths and relax once in a while!!!

Virgo: Now is the time to expand business opportunities. If you have been looking to gather new clients or to remodel part of the home this is definitely a good time to start! Anything having to do with investments and money will go pretty well for you for the rest of the month. However, a lot of this work you will have to do on your own, mainly because you really need to get a gist of the situation and you are best to do so internally without too many people's opinions.

Libra: Strength and The World show up in your spread for the end of May, lots of challenges but even more opportunities. Keep your eyes out for both and do not get disheartened by the obstacles. They are there merely so that you can prove to yourself that you are capable of anything. Also watch your attitude last week in May...you're going to be a little snippy!

Scorpio: It's about partnerships and relationships for you the last half of May Scorpio. Watch it though, there is a little bit of drama going on and although you may not be involved, I am seeing here that your protective nature has been activated. Usually I would say "this isn't your fight don't move forward with it" but what I am seeing with this shows that it just may be that the person you are trying to protect really cannot protect themselves. So go for it!

Sagittarius: You really need to bring balance back in a financial way. Save your money and try budgeting more strictly. There are big payouts coming in June that you may not be prepared for otherwise. It is also speaking of this time being a good one for love. So if you are not in a relationship now would be the time to keep an eye out for one, if you are now is the time to rekindle the passion!

Capricorn: It's all very future focused right now Capricorn and the cards say you are struggling to keep up with the present. You need to keep your mind in the here and now instead of worrying about days and weeks later. Stop just putting out the fires and try to get ahead with work and home life. You may feel drained first week in June but energy will pick back up by the second or third week.

Aquarius: Now is the time for you to focus on health issues, spiritual medicine is coming to you in a strong way pointing you in the direction concerning health (physical, spiritual and mental) so watch out for repetitive signs for the rest of the month! Seeing the same areas mentioned repeatedly, numbers etc. Spirit is trying to tell you where you need to be, unfortunately there are a lot of distractions around you, which takes your head out of the game so to speak. Try to keep focus.

Pisces: Time to let your child-self out to play Pisces you've been way to serious lately. Go to a Dave and Busters or Funworld and let loose!!! Don't worry about financial repercussions, the cards indicate an upswing coming for you over the next month. Right now it is just very important to nurture your child self and to work with your imagination!
