Hello Lovelies!!!

It's that time again! February seems to be a fabulous month for most of you and I am excited to share with you the many changes this month will bring! This month I am using the Medieval Cat Tarot, let me tell you it is a little bit of whimsy and a whole lot of business. Definitely a deck I recommend, it brings with it a straight to the point attitude and an overall positive message (even when it comes to the bad news) that is both inspiring and fun!
Most of the colors are muted because they are attempting to catch that renaissance feeling and let me tell you they do it beautifully. I particularly love the Death and Devil cards, the pips are much like those found in the older tarot but each has a small portrait of a cat and their suit. Overall this deck is a wonderful one to add to any collection and I feel is good to be used by either beginners or experienced readers!

Aquarius - There is a new commitment on the horizon Aquarius, or so says the Four of Wands, typically an indicator of impending marriage, business partnerships or some other important relationship the card indicates that this new coupling will bring you onto a new path and head you towards prosperity! The Knight of Swords greets you in the middle of February telling you to push as hard as you can to move your plans forward. Many times we get excited about the prospect and planning of a project but we lose motivation as we go, be careful that you don't run out of steam! At the end of the month you move into the Ace of Coins, indicating the opportunity for a new job, or a new home. Either way it is a card which brings material wealth and prosperity! A wonderful way to end the month.

Aries - The Queen of Wands greets you at the beginning of the month infusing you with the compulsion to conquer! As soon as you finish one project or task your heading full steam into the next. The Knight of Coins stops in mid-February to tell you not to focus so much on long range success as at the moment it is unclear but to instead pay attention to the little milestones along the way. At the end of the month you move into the Six of Swords indicating that there will be a situation which will bring about a sense of loss, grief or anxiety. But fear not! There is freedom on the other side of it

Taurus - Ideas abound but now is not the time to just plan, you begin the month in the Two of Wands indicating that you see the full picture and it is time to put plans into motion. Mid-month you become The Hermit now is the time to seek a place where you can hear Universe speak to you. Think on what has been distracting you from seeing signs, maybe stress, kids, your own mind working overtime? Try and find a place of peace and quiet, then focus your energy on discovering Universe's signals. The Wheel of Fortune ends the month for you saying that at the moment you may feel like small forgotten cog in a giant machine, but there is an opportunity on the horizon to take back the spotlight!

Gemini - You are riding The Chariot at the start of February things will be extremely chaotic at this time, make sure to double check plans as the Chariot can indicate you may be moving a little to fast. Be sure not to put the chariot before the horse. The Five of Cups pops in mid-month reminding you that there is 'No use crying over spilled milk.' situations around this time may cause you grief, but this card warns that you should not dwell to long! February ends with The Moon telling you to trust your instincts and keep moving forward despite fears, stress and worries!

Cancer - Keep balance with the Two of Coins Cancer, you may be struggling a bit keeping things in order at the beginning of the month, work/play, family/bills etc. Be sure to give everything equal attention so you don't get to overwhelmed in any sector of your life. Grasp success at the middle of the month with the Ten of Coins! You are a great career point and finances will be on the upswing, you will have reached a pinnacle point in your place of work you may wish to seek a change of scenery because as we head towards the end of the month you meet the King of Wands who insists that we take what we have learned to a whole new format or audience.

Leo - Enough is enough Leo, that thought will be drilled into your head by the end of the beginning of February when you move into the Seven of Coins. Even though you may not be the most prosperous, you look around and realize you have everything that you need and that it is a blessing. Mid-month you move into the Ace of Wands indicating that a new idea, career, or path will open up to you! As we begin to head into the end of February you suddenly realize that all of your struggles have not been in vain, doors will begin to open for you!

Virgo - 'Be true to you.' Says the Emporer at the beginning of February, you have a lot of dreams Virgo, but are they truly feasible? Do others have that same goal or will you stand alone as the Emporer does? Whichever the case, don't give up. You move into the Five of Coins at mid-month indicating that you are allowing yourself to be overcome by a lack of material wealth, you are focusing to much on what you want and do not have. This card also indicates that you will soon be in a situation that will break you free from these troubles. You end the month in the Three of Swords bringing forward feelings of betrayal and pain from the past. These emotions come into the light so you can move forward and let go of them.

Libra - You move into the Knight of Cups at the start of the month bringing with him a sense of reassurance concerning the path you are currently traveling. At mid-month you are greeted by the Knight of Wands indicating that your career is moving in the right direction, and growth will happen quickly. At the end of the month you move into the Two of Cups indicating a new partnership or agreement which brings you a sense of security and happiness.

Scorpio - The Nine of Cups says that now is the time to take stock of your accomplishments, but also to be open, honest and above all fair with the people around you. If you need to communicate just be careful that your words are not interpreted as boastful. Mid-month you move into the Seven of Swords there will be a few new personal victories but they are best kept to yourself, you've solved the problem using your out-of-the-box thinking but there isn't any need to share the situation. Strength says that now is the time to thrive rather than just survive as we close out February.

Sagittarius - The Nine of Wands greets you at the beginning of February and gives you the impulse to reevaluate your defenses both emotional and physical. Has your home security system been updated, what about fire alarms? What about your emotional defenses, are you keeping people at arms length unnecessarily or do you need to put up more? Mid-February you enter into the Four of Cups inidcating that you may be looking more towards the negative when the answers you seek and the blessings are right under your nose! You end the month of February by meeting the Hanged Man, he tells you,'Things look very different from this angle.' giving you the hint that this may be a great time to look at things from a different perspective in order to help you out of your current situation.

Capricorn - The Ten of Cups starts out the month indicating a true sense of abundance and emotional fulfillment. Death comes mid-month with changes in mind be ready to redefine ideas of the self and your position in the world, This card is not something to be feared, but rather to be embraced by the end of your journey through Death you will be all the stronger. The Six of Wands ends February indicating the need to follow your heart, some family, friends or colleagues may not agree with your choices but either way it is important that you persevere and continue your forward momentum.

Pisces - You are full of coin cards this month Pisces, both at the beginning and the end, you start out in the phase of the Four of Coins bringing with it a sense of insecurity, even though it may be recent it is actually rooted in the past don't get intimidated or react out of habit. Instead sit with the feelings and recognize that they are that..feelings, not facts. Mid-month brings you into the Three of Wands indicating that you are working towards a really great financial goal, keep going the Universe is pushing you towards success. At the end of the month you meet the King of Coins telling you to beware of stagnation, you've had success now is the time to do an about-face and start a new direction!

Battle the Holiday Exhaustion

Turkey Day and Christmas is right around the corner my friends!!! You know what that means, making the rounds at holiday parties, purchasing, giving and recieving gifts, cooking, parades and of course being overwhelmed and exhausted. Maybe that's why people drink so much at New Years!
How do you keep your energy the holiday season? Well I will give you a few of my favorite tips!

1. Get plenty of sleep - I know it is a little obvious but it takes over and hour for our brain to completely shut down and prepare for sleep, so when you think your actually getting six hours your really only getting five!

2. Invest in Green, Black or Oolong Tea - All have great benefits including boosting your immune system and your energy levels! But be sure not to overdo it, two cups of tea a day is a good idea. If you aren't a fan of hot tea stick with Green, it tastes really good cold. Or you can add a bit of honey to it which has astringent and cleansing qualities!

3. Manage your time - Again another obvious one, but it is very necessary to get organized! Get a scheduler or just a piece of paper and make a day plan with what activities on what days. Allot time for each activity and give yourself breathing time in between each. Putting it in black and white like that will help you to compartmentalize and process all of your tasks so you won't get overwhelmed.

4. Surround yourself with cheer - Wearing colors such as yellow, orange, golds, and blues help us to feel energized, red does this as well. Greens, browns and khaki's help us to feel more grounded. If I have a day where there is a LOT going on I will wear an energizing color. When it is a time to relax and recoup I will wear a grounding color.

5. Allow yourself to celebrate - This is my final rule for holidays. When I go to parties I meet so many people who, even though they are there to celebrate continue to think about issues at home or what is left on their task list. Leave it at the door! If you got all of your kids presents before the December rush celebrate that you achieved that goal! Celebrate yourself and the fact that you CAN do all of the tasks on your list!

6. Count your blessings - Okay I lied, this is the absolute LAST rule I swear! I think it is pretty self-explanatory but I will detail it anyway. I can remember my Uncle Bill used to count his blessings by helping others. Every Christmas he would drive around town with six bills ranging from twenty five dollars to one hundred each put into a card and sealed. He would also put blankets in the car (usually about fifteen or twenty) he would then go out Christmas Eve night and give these out to the homeless around town. Buying them a place to stay for the night, giving a warm blanket, or another act of kindness. This was his way of counting his blessings and giving back. Find your own way to count YOUR blessings this holiday season!

The word intuitive works on many levels, some may use the word to mean psychic while others see it as a connection between the concious and personal unconcious. Such is the case with set of cards and the journal that accompanies it. The cards have no meaning written below them, no jacks or queens, but rather the author’s own art, street scenes, dogs, birds etc. Seemingly random they all trigger different feelings, memories, thoughts and ideas. I am usually busy writing books myself and never get much time to read other books,until my publisher sent me Ghosts of Buffalo by my good friend Tim Shaw. I read the book cover to cover in about two hours. It is a full color book with tons of wonderful legends and historical facts regarding some of the most incredible haunted places in Buffalo NY. Tim also writes about his time as a re-enactor at well known Fort Niagara, and his experiences with the spirits that still haunt the military site. What I loved about this book was the beautiful colored pictures and being a huge history buff , I found the back stories very intriguing. I suggest if anyone loves haunted history and NY, get this book because you will not be disappointed.

How To Make A Psi-Wheel

I borrowed this wonderful article from http://controlmind.info a wonderful site dedicated to discovering the true potential of the mind! A psi wheel is quite simple to set up and requires very basic materials. You probably have everything you need to make a psi wheel laying around your house right now. All it takes to make your own PSI wheel is a small square (approximately 2.5x2.5 inches) of a piece of paper or aluminum foil, a regular sewing needle, and a small lump of clay or a book to hold the needle in an upright position. Below is the instruction on how to make a psi wheel:

Cut a square piece of paper about 2.5x2.5 inches, but a little smaller or larger will still work most of the time.
Fold the piece of paper diagonally to form a triangle. Open the paper back and simply fold the opposite corner over to form another triangle.
Turn the paper over.
Fold the paper in half both ways.
Push in the opposite corners towards the center to make it as a little "hat" with the middle pointing up and the sides slightly bended down.

Now, it's all ready and folded up in the way it should. In this way, it will keep balanced when you place it on top of the needle and it will easily spin around when right energies is applied. Then, just to see how it functions, gently blow on the paper wheel (psi wheel), and you will see it spin gently and stable around on top. If there is too much friction making it hard to spin, fold it slightly more leaving the top tip more wide so it doesn't get stuck on the top of the needle. Altar: Spread a black cloth, and lay it with photographs, paintings, and other depictions of our ancestors. Add also symbols of their old tools, and statues of ancestral deities, a bowl of seeds for the future garden, pots of soil, a pitcher of water, and many candles of black and white and grey.
Offerings: Things they would have liked to eat, drink, smoke, or smell. Tend a cemetery and clean up the graves.
Daily Meal: Food from an earlier era, using authentic recipes.

Invocation to the Ancestors:

Our ancestors got up at dawn,

The very first thing you notice when using this deck is that the traditional imagery has been replaced by a modern update. The colors are bold but not overpowering. The Tower has been replaced by Intervention, The Hermit is now the Guidance and so on. The images your clients see are ones that they can relate to more easily. By using imagery that everyone can relate to, the deck easily lends itself to both new and advanced readers. One of my favorite cards is the 12th Card of the Major Arcana, in Today's Journey is is entitled Choice and depicts a person's hand holding onto the steering wheel of their car while driving down a highway about to choice which off ramp to use. This shows someone feeling a bit stuck, not knowing which way to go, but seeing the possibilities spread out before them. Who can't relate to this much more easily then the image of a Hanged Man? It's that type of ease that has made this deck quickly become my go-to one.

Tarotscopes October 2011

Hello Lovelies!

It's that time of the month! Yes, the Tarotscopes!!! This month I worked with the Silver Era Tarot authored by Russell J. Moon and artistry by Aunia Kahn. I absolutely enjoyed working with this deck, if there was one critique I could give it would be to the models more than the artist. They were at times simply to stiff or in an obvious ‘pose’. The actually quality of the graphics is amazing. I must say that I would recommend this deck to someone who enjoys more gothic style art, the images are black and white with pops of color in various pictures throughout the deck. My favorite card? The Hierophant, those blood red lips on a younger female face (very unique as most often the card is depicted as an old man) in the black and white shot with a very intense gaze. If I could get it framed and hang it on my wall I absolutely would. The mix of photographed and illustrative art is fabulous and has a definite ethereal feel to it. This deck is great for the intermediate intuitive reader.

Libra - Happy Birthday Libra!! The King of Cups greets you at the beginning of the month bringing with him a sense of being driven, busting through obstacles and having to make many decisions. The middle of the month brings Judgement reversed beckoning you to take another look, your drive has become possibly obsessive in nature. This card also warns of a lack of momentum and a feeling of progress stopped. The Ace of Swords brings along a rise from a feeling of defeat and again picking up momentum and a feeling of accomplishment.

Aries - The Devil knocks on your door at the beginning of the month Aries! Excess and overindulgence may bite you in the bum later. Keep aware of your apetites and your wallet! Mid-month brings the Star, ushering new hopes and dreams. Keep the faith things are moving forward even if it isn’t obvious right now. At the end of the month is the Six of Swords indicating time for a change you may be feeling disconnection with the people around you or your environment. This will spur you on to big changes next month.

Taurus - The Moon comes to see you at the beginning of the month telling you to trust your gut with all decisions and allow creativity to be your outlet. Nex comes the Four of Wands indicating completion or a feeling of accomplishment. At the end of the month Justice stops by giving you a sense of balance and rightness.

Gemini - You start the month in the Ten of Cups indicating a harmonious partnership or relationship. The Nine of Wands comes in at the middle of October indicating a small setback in plans. But don’t be disheartened you will overcome and everything will be back on track in no time. At the end of the month you meet up with the Hanged Man in the reverse position indicating now is a time to look inward for resolution rather than opinions and ideas from everyone else.

Cancer - Now is the time for action! So says the Eight of Wands at the beginning of the month. Choices have been made and there is nothing left but to follow through with the plan. The middle of the month brings with it the Seven of Pentacles reversed indicating a big risk, all can be won or lost based on your decision (no pressure!) time to get some advice! At the end of the month you meet the Queen of Cups telling you to pay attention to the people around you, particularly the successful and wise. Leo - You begin October in the phase of the Knight of Wands influencing you to continue in your current direction with a surety of much success. Midmonth brings the Ten of Pentacles into your sphere indicating a good financial status, with the ability to money aside. It may also come up if there is an inheritence or a lot of debt is cleared. At the end of the month you land in the Two of Cups bestowing a new or renwed friendship or relationship with a feeling of a true partnership!

Virgo - The Queen of Wands greets you at the beginning of the month with the message to forge ahead with bringing your dreams to fruition success lies around the corner. Mid month you embody the Page of Swords causing you to take an opportunity to advance your knowledge. Capricorn - You start the month as the Queen of Wands reversed indicating a feeling of depression. But this does not last long as you move into the Magician midmonth bringing you to a crossroads. You cannot go forward, nor backward without making a decision. Take a minute and mull it over. At the end of the month you reach the Five of Wands telling you to get involved in some healthy competition. It will be good for your spirit.

Aquarius - You start out in the Two of Swords telling you to accept fate. Release control and let things happen. Bridge of Deaths Book Review

M.C.V. Egan twists truth and fiction until you question your perceptions. You meet the characters Bill and Maggie right off the bat, Maggie being more of an eccentric and Bill being of a more logical mind. What I loved was when Bill, the skeptic, went with Maggie to a past life regression and got his socks knocked off, from then on it is a story of intrigue as Maggie and Bill try to put the pieces of their past lives together. Bill is haunted by the numbers on a plane, and a bridge in Denmark that Maggie is all to familiar with. I love the mix of historical facts and you can tell Egan was quite devoted to the historical subject (just take a look at all those footnotes...wow). I adore the character of Catalina, who I feel in reading this may be an artistic interpretation of the author herself. One of my favorite parts was when Catalina was going through her library, seeing written on the page her thought process was really funny, especially since the reader could sense Catalina's irritation at having to take up a 'real' job and put her obsession aside. All of her characters come to life so easily you can almost hear them talking in your mind, imagine accents, smells and emotions.
Psychic elements run throughout the Bridge of Deaths, other than past lives Catalina went and visited psychics to discover more about her grandfather and his involvement in the mysterious plane crash that fills Bills nightmares. Most of the information contained within the book regarding paranormal phenomena, psychics and past life regression are spot on, when they are not the author notes what is fiction and where creative license was taken. I thought that the footnotes would be distracting but some of them are quite entertaining! Most of the seers and mystics she talks about in her book are either people who have read her or people she has obvious connections with as she cites their entire names etc.
I loved this book, there was no time to be bored, no slow parts. I will say that if you enjoy history, past life regression and the weird this will definitely be a story for you. However, I feel you will soon come to realize that it is much more than that, it is a story of real love, triumph and search for the self. Thumbs up to M.C. V. Egan

Review: Tarot Leaves deck by Beth Seilonen

I get to review decks all the time and I feel so blessed and priveliged to do so. I decided to share the wealth and offer a deck to review to a good friend of mine named Sue. She has been studying and practicing in divination for over twenty years and has a passion for art in all it's forms.So this was the perfect deck to give her to review. Here is Sue's take on the deck...

"The first thing that you notice about this deck is it's gentle nature, from the pastelish coloring to the graphic depictions on each of the cards. Leaves are woven into each card in some manner. This in itself lends this deck to be a bit less foreboding to clients. I was able to use this deck on a person who is new to tarot readings and not have her be intimidated cards that traditionally have harsher images. All in all it was a fun deck to use, however it does require a bit more experience and intuitiveness then other. Because of that, I would recommend this deck for experienced users."

Prepare friends, the next review is way out of the norm for this blog! I will be reviewing a book by M.C. V. Egan entitled The Bridge of Deaths. I can already tell you that it is definitely a book I would read again...but you'll find out all about it in the next post!

Tarotscopes September 2011

Hello Lovelies!

Time for another exciting Tarotscope! This month I am using the Otherworld Tarot by Alison Williams with artwork by Sarah Nowell. Right off the bat the first thing I can say is this deck is whimsical, with flying pink fluffy unicorns on the back it reminds me of my childhood and playing with the Lisa Frank stickers, with unicorns, rainbows and lots of color. This deck is definitely vibrant! Each suit and the Major has it's own colored border and a couple of descriptive word beneath each card. Not all of the images are light and airy, some are more dark and foreboding, but it still incorporates that sense of whimsy. When this reader is using the deck, the clients don't freak out as they sometimes do with the more traditional decks, some of my clients will gasp when they see the death card even though it doesn't always mean an actual death. It is definitely a good deck for a beginning reader or tarot enthusiast. Now on to the Tarotscopes!

Virgo - The Ace of Cups kicks off your September! Whenever I see this card it really excites me, it means a reconnection in a relationship, a milestone (such as an engagement or wedding) or a new relationship coming in! Just remain open to the possibilities and let your heart lead you! Mid-month the Ace of of Wands appears saying that now is the time to take a different route or start something new in life. You will be pushed towards action, feeling motivated and maybe a little restless in your current situation. The Two of Cups indicate that you will have a moment of that ever elusive balance in your life a great way to end the month.

Aries -The King of Cups comes to you with a message of support, now is the time to put yourself aside and take care of others. The middle of the month brings an increase in finances and a feeling of prosperity, make use of it and save what you can. At the end of the month things are speeding up and you finally feel like your really moving forward!

Taurus -Don't be afraid to share your money this month Taurus, you'll have extra and there will be some people in need. This month is also a time for you to exercise your skills as an authority! People will be looking to you for guidance and instruction do what you can to aid them. At the end of the month you will meet someone (become aware of them) who is not as they appear. They may not be the most beautiful or handsome person, but they do have a passionate and giving nature. They are one of extremes and see the world in black and white, they can be vindictive if you do or say the wrong thing but are quickly forgiving.

Gemini -You move into the Four of Cups at the beginning of the month, bringing with it a sense of boredom, now is the time to entertain yourself and maybe take on a couple of new hobbies. At mid-month you pass by the Page of Swords who cautions you to really look at your situation from all sides and spend time to think things through rather than giving into your impulsive nature. At the end of the month there is a sense of peace that the Ten of Cups brings. Peace with decisions and your situation, enjoy it.

Cancer -The Hermit meets you at the beginning of the month indicating that now is the time for you to introvert just a bit and reflect on current situations and indulge in a little nostalgia. Mid-month brings some uncomfortable situations, I get this to be more family oriented than work, and you may feel a little disconcerted or heartbroken. Strength comes in at the end of the month to give you the courage to face these negative moments, keep your head up and keep moving!

Leo -It is time dear Leo to receive your reward! The Three of Pentacles comes through for you denoting an opportunity to finally get the payoff you've been waiting for! At the middle of the month the Devil comes to your door sending distractions and temptations your way. Do not fall prey to them as they will divert you from your goal and it will take even MORE time to reach it! At the end of the month comes success!!! Yay! The World presents you with the opportunity to really reach those goals and even some upswing in your finances!

Libra -You take on the Emperor at the beginning of the month which gives you a sense of clarity about your current situation. It's almost like Universe just connects the dots for you and begin to see things for what they really are not how you want them to be. Watch it though because sometimes to much knowing is not a good thing and the Two of Swords indicates an imbalance. Remember, work hard, play hard, let it be your mantra for mid-September. At the end of the month the Nine of Cups indicates a feeling of True Happiness, that things have finally come together, there are resolution to the situations around you and you will have kickstarted some new projects!

Scorpio -You place upon yourself the mantle of Justice at the beginning of the month, taking Karma into your own hands or watching Karma hit someone else! At the middle of the month there will be a lot of decisions to be made and a couple of really big choice, don't let your brain overwhelm you because at the end of the month The Fool comes in and urges you to just take a leap of faith

Sagittarius - Your brain will be on overdrive at the beginning of the month as you move into the Ace of Swords, take advantage and try to clear some of the work from your plate. Now is the time to wrap up or complete projects that have to do with finances or intellect such as finishing a book, or another creative endeavor. Middle of the month will bring exhaustion from all the work completed at the beginning of September, there are no worries though as you can take the time to recoup. At the end of the month the Eight of Cups indicates that it is time to move on, you may no longer be challenged at work or be tired of the same old situation. Do not be afraid to make change it is a good time.

Capricorn -Everything in moderation Capricorn or so says Temperance! That point will be driven home the first week of September, whether your bank account bounces because you overspend or your stomach aches because you ate to much. Middle of the month brings a lot of anxiety to you, do not freeze because of it. Sit with the anxiety but acknowledge that it is just an instinctual fear and that it is not powerful enough to hold you prisoner. At the end of the month comes a time of nostalgia, thinking back on your family, friends and work, enjoy the moment.

Aquarius - The Hierophant approaches you at the beginning of the month indicating a need for spiritual guidance. Now is the time to consult with Universe, Deity and/or their respective representatives and find the underlying meaning to your current situation. At mid-month there will be conflict as indicated by the Five of Wands however at the end of the month there is an opportunity for you to gain some new skills through the Eight of Pentacles. This may be geared towards career or life!

Pisces - Put up your walls Pisces the Seven of Wands indicates a need to defend what is yours! Do not take an aggressive stance and attack because whatever or whoever you are up against is not as equipped as you think they are. Middle of September is all about using the strength of your will to get through your current siutations, at the end of the month there will be a difficult choice to make and it is one you cannot get away from. I don't feel there will be a lot of time to make it, but take as much time as you possibly can.

Psychic Games for Parties and Groups!

I’ve been to a lot of parties and psychic work is never a boring topic. More than once I’ve been grilled about my background, cases I’ve worked as a paranormal investigator and medium and more. When I inevitably come back to the conclusion we are all psychic, they usually balk or say, “I’ve had a couple of experiences.” This is when I typically will initiate the question “Why not?” We are a social species and are hard wired to be a little bit competitive so psychic party games are great for both! Not to mention when meeting new people these games are great icebreakers!

Sending and Receiving Games

They are exactly as they sound, one person thinks of an object, person or place and the group tries to guess what it is. Try it with colors!

Game: What am I Thinking?

Pick one person to be the sender, it is best if the person is good with creative visualization. Then have everybody write down the color that they see. Give everyone 40 seconds to do this. Compare to see who got it right. Do it two more times then switch to a different sender. For every color guessed right is 3 points, to guess wrong is -2 first person to reach 21 wins! Oftentimes couples, or family will be more intuitive with each other and you may notice they pick up on what the other is thinking more quickly or accurately. This is due to the bond shared between them. Kind of like twins. You can incorporate pretty much anything into the sending and receiving games like animals, numbers, household items. Assign your own point values to harder subjects

Game: The Human Pendulum

Everyone stands in a circle, they pick one person to be the pendulum. The player who is the pendulum leave the room while the rest of the circle whispers among themselves as to one person in the circle that they will focus on. When they are done the “pendulum” will come back in. Have them stand in the center of the circle and close their eyes. Everyone place a finger on him or her and focus on the person in the group you agreed upon. The “pendulum” will start to sway. What you are looking to achieve is to have the “pendulum” point to that person. It happens almost every time.

Psychometry Games

Psychometry literally means to measure the spirit or soul of an object. It is gathering information through the touching of objects. The things around us hold memory and the objective is to discover what those memories are!

Game: Who’s Is It?

Have everyone bring something (either a piece of jewelry, key etc.) that no one has seen before put them all in a shoe box with a hole at the top. Have each person pick an object out of the box (if it’s yours put it back in the box discreetly). Let everyone sit with their object for a second getting a feel for it. When everyone feels they have a name then go ahead and let them name off who they believe their item belongs to.

In this tough economic time people need to get their minds off their stresses and these fun, interactive games are always a hit! Have fun, relax and increase your own psychic abilities!!

Finding Your Bliss

I know many times in my life before I found my career I had to work jobs that I hated, or wasn’t paid enough for. I have clients that come to me all the time seeking their niche and wondering what is wrong with them because they are not happy at work. I am here to tell you, if you are underpaid, overwhelmed or just generally unhappy at work. Get out. I have a friend who was a vice president at a very established bank. She handled the mortgages and loans department of said bank. She was there for about twenty five years. She hadn’t been happy for a long time and then something happened, that completely changed her way of thinking. Her daughter got sick with colitis. She tried mainstream medicine but it didn’t help, meanwhile she was still working in a job that came with a ton of stress. She did some research and found some alternative therapies. Through those therapies her daughter was successfully treated and now her colitis is under control. But that isn’t the main bit to this story. My friend found her calling. She quit her job at the bank and went into massage therapy. This was the first positive step toward finding her niche. Through massage therapy she discovered a holistic practice called Nutrition Response Testing. It is healing through whole foods, she has worked with people who have autism, cancers and more helping their bodies to find their balance and heal. She has thrived doing this work and discovered her passion. When you find the right fit, the Universe notices. Your energy changes, your perceptions change. It is a beautiful feeling.
However just because you have an idea of what you want to do or what your potential niche is that doesn’t mean just up and quitting your job. That’s just not reasonable. It is best to go ahead and start it as a side project or hobby. Build your business from there. Although it does mean more work, if it is something meant for you to do then the Universe will make it happen.
In other times the Universe will push you onto your path. A friend of mine recently got laid off from her job. Luckily while there she made many connections with others in her field. They gave her a wonderful severance package which lasted about six months after her last day. Struggling to find a job in this tough economy was a challenge and eventually she gave up. She then realized what she needed to do. So many of her colleagues had been getting laid off because of budget cuts that she decided to create a firm consisting of a network of her colleagues from various areas and states around the country. Much like the phoenix she rose up from a hard situation and found her bliss.
One way to get direction is to write a wish list. This list will contain all of the feelings and things you want in a job or career. Such as happiness, creative control, free time, travel etc. Write up your list, then put it under your pillow for a month, hold it before you go to bed at night and visualize your dream job. After the month is up, burn the list, this sends the wants and needs out into the Universe.

Communicating in Relationships

Ever had an argument and three days later you can barely remember what the heck it was you fought over? Or your having issues with something a friend or lover does and you just brush it off, don’t say a word and it festers? I know I have and a lot of the work I do is counseling, relationships are never perfect but I find most often it is due to a lack of communication, misunderstanding or some other small missteps. This doesn’t apply just to love but to all types of partnerships whether it be friends, family or work. Relationships should be give and take, a healing and empowering experience. But we so often get wrapped up in what we think we hear, or don’t know how to get our points across. Other times we forget to cherish what we have, and begin to neglect the other person or just expect them to be there when we need them.

Recognize Your Faults

Firstly you need to recognize your own issues. I find about ninety percent of the time that one person or even both are holding on to past baggage, and holding their new mate or friend accountable for the transgressions of the past. We have a tendency to play the blame game, it’s easier to blame someone other than yourself for the issues going on. However, we cannot blame just one person it takes the both of you to make things work.

Recognize Your Divinity

This is one of the most important parts, you need to recognize that you do not deserve to have these issues in your life, that you are entitled to better. But by recognizing that aspect in yourself you must do the same with the other person. You were not put here to argue and hold in your emotions, you are here to have fun, learn and enjoy your life.
Along with being empowered by your connection to the Divine, there is also the responsibility that comes with it. Sometimes to heal a relationship someone needs to be the hero and put the olive branch out there and actually put the healing in motion. In this case, you.

Recognize Your Tools

Your five senses are imperative when it comes to communication, we were built to be observers and thinkers. Sometimes this is to our own detriment, our minds can overanalyze a couple of words that were said. Our eyes can pick up on defensive body language and our ears can tune in and out of conversations while we have a million things going on in our own head. We expect people to say exactly what they mean, however, we typically only vocalize maybe five percent of what we are actually thinking during a conversation. The rest is displayed through body language, and the eyes. Be cognizant of the body language, a simple thing to pay attention to is the arms. If they are crossed or have their hands on their hips then you know the person probably won’t hear what you are trying to say, they are in a defensive position. If they are down by their sides or in a relaxed position then you know they will absorb what you are saying. They eyes are the next easiest thing to read, if they seem dazed then the person has zoned out into their own space, if they are looking all over the place then that means their brain is going a million miles a minute and this is not the time for a real conversation. You are looking for that person to maintain eye contact with you. Your biggest tool is your voice, sometimes we get riled or excited and don’t even notice our tone has changed. You need to really be aware of how your are putting things across to people, do you sound patronizing or sarcastic?

Recognize Your Safe Place

In my house there is a room, this room is really special it is sacred space for me and my partner, there are no secrets and no barriers between us in this room. When we are having arguments, we go to this safe place and let it all hang out. When we leave the room whatever issues we had were dealt with. There are eleven commandments we have to go by in this room:

No Yelling
No Interrupting
No Sarcasm
No Violence
You Must Listen (some people just hear the tone or tune in and out of the conversation this rule means you have to pay close attention give the person the respect they deserve)
You Must Acknowledge (what the other person is saying)
You Must Try To Understand (where the other person is coming from)
You Must Recognize The Right To Feel (it may not be fact, but it is what they felt around what you are saying and vice versa)
You Must Use “I” Statements (I feel, I think, I hear, I see that way the other person does not feel you are attacking them and you are taking responsibility)
You Must Say Things In Love (you can’t just say whatever, you must say things out of love and want to heal you can‘t just attack)

These rules have helped not just me and my spouse but many other clients of mine, as it eliminates all escapes and barriers. It is not a place you go to when you are angry, sometimes it is best to wait a little bit let you both cool off and then come there, when you can say what you really mean and what won’t just hurt.

Recognize When You Are Reacting
In relationships people are often more reactive than proactive and so they have the tendency to just let their emotions and insecurities take over, by carrying on the vicious cycle of attacks. When all they really want is peace in their own lives and relationships. Next time you are about to boil over with anger ask yourself what you are reacting to? Why are you reacting to it? And by reacting how will that help? After you have answered those questions ask yourself why is the other person attacking? You must recognize that there are only two emotions love and fear and we work out of one of these at any moment during the day. When someone begins attacking out of nowhere it is out of fear. What insecurities do they hold around the issue? What do they need from you to feel more safe and secure in themselves? As humans we have a responsibility to support and help each other when we are in pain.

Love whether it be friendship or mate is a beautiful thing, but much like the rest of our lives it has it’s moments. Communication is essential in all endeavors, we are a social species. With technology getting more and more efficient people are losing the ability to communicate effectively, this has put a damper on more than one relationship when one says something through an e-mail or instant message and it was misconstrued by the recipient. It sounded good in your head though right? Get back to real face to face communication, when you have respect and honesty in a relationship, understanding is inevitable. Whatever you feel, put it on the table, not in an accusing way but in a healthy way. Cherish your relationships and see them for the blessings they are.

Determining Your Sun and Moon Signs

There are twelve signs in the zodiac, and there are actually two components needed to get a basic grasp of your personality. The first is your sun sign which describes your essential self and is the easiest to get (just takes your birth date), your moon sign which is about your emotional and inner self that part of you that responds to habits, your psychic or instinctual feelings and your emotions. Finding out your Sun and Moon signs can shed a lot of light on how you work, what your strengths are and what you need to work on. It will also help you in relationships as you will be able to find out the compatibility issues between yourself, friends and lovers.
Sun signs are very popular (who doesn’t receive their horoscope every week in their e-mail?) they seem to tell us everything about our personalities, but no sun sign gives the full scope of your personality and nobodies sun sign fits them to a bill (unless both their ascending and sun signs are the same). For example, I live with a Libra, now this sign is all about balance they are known to be somewhat dramatic, emotionally they keep themselves a little closed off and like to let other people take the reigns although when called for they can take a leadership role. Now the Libra I know, is very much a perfectionist and likes to be in control of their environment, they like to know absolutely everything that is going on. These traits are due to her Scorpio ascending sign. Now to determine your three signs your are going to need to write down your date and time of birth.
A sun sign is literally as it sounds, it tell us what sign the sun was in when you were born. As the sun circles the earth the sign it sits in changes, the time it has in each sign is varied and can last anywhere from thirty-two to twenty-nine days.

Moon signs are second only to sun signs you need to determine exactly which sign the moon was in at the time of your birth. You may actually identify and be more impressed with your moon sign than your sun sign, as it tells you exactly how your emotional and instinctual self works. The moon sign also dictates relationships, your subconscious thinking. However the moon sign will never override the sun sign, and will most likely only slight affect your sun sign. Although it is possible that the moon sign can contradict the sun sign (if you have two signs in polarity or confliction) which would cause some internal struggles, it is particularly important for women to understand their moon signs as it represents the Divine Feminine in many cultures and in fact may help bring to light some issues we may have been dealing with or help to empower us or recognize our strengths. The moon is in constant movement just like the sun, but unlike the sun the moon waxes and wanes over a thirty day period which is why we need the time of your birth. If you really get into the spirit of things by grabbing a book on astrology (pretty much all of them have some sort of charting for finding your moon signs), grabbing pen and paper and creating your own natal chart!
The moon and the sun have traveled around the earth since the beginning of time, and since the Dark Ages we have been using them to chart our futures and learn to recognize our individual needs and paths. It is a practice that has evolved with us over the centuries and yet remains consistently on point when it comes to accuracy. Give yourself some extra insight, take control, and have fun!

This month I'm using a different kind of deck, we are actually switching it up to an oracle deck! Wisdom of the Maya: An Oracle of Ancient Knowledge for Today is a fabulously created and detailed deck of Mayan deities, glyphs, animals, forms and astronomy cards. The Maya were on of the most highly evolved ancient cultures, colonizing Central America for over 1,000 years. They had to know a little something something right? Dr. Ronald Bonewitz did a wonderful job of interpreting the symbology in order to create a great oracle deck with the assistance of carving illustrator Achim Frederic Kiel.

Leo - Let Kumatz (the snake) be your guide. Aside from the jaguar it is one of the most important animals in the Mayan belief system, a herald of change at the deepest levels. Let your inner voice guide you over this next month and watch for outside stressors coming into major play. Learn to let go and let God..err...Kumatz...aid you in dealing with your current challenges in a way to create change.

Aries - Chel The Nurturer comes to you this month bringing with a sense of giving and needing a lot of support during the month of August. I get the sense with this that it is related more to family matters than friends so keep an eye out for parents, siblings and immediate relations.

Taurus - Nohoch Ek is the equivalent of the God of War indicating conflict, on the plus side, whatever arguments and negative situations that surround you during the month are at their worst and can only get better. On top of that be sure to look for support from your significant other, Nohock Ek is ruled by Venus and allows reconnection and reaffirmation or the beginnings of love to bloom.

Gemini - Kinich Ahau comes to you for the month of August, telling you that even a bad decision is better than no decision at all. You may be trying to push things forward but meet a wall or have to wait for others to get on the ball. Now is the time to stay on top of things and push as hard as you can toward the future that you crave.

Cancer - Dzonot The Cenote flags you down for the month of August allowing you a deeper look into yourself. Now is your chance to look into the heart of the matter and see it for what it TRULY is. This is also a great time for reinspection and reevaluation but don't make any plans just allow yourself to absorb the information that will be gleaned throughout the month.

Virgo - Balam, the jaguar makes use of the darkness, but when this card comes forward it tells you that now is the time for self-confrontation. You are allowing your darkness to hold you back, now is the time to face that negative and come to terms, turn weakness to strength and shed light on the dark.

Libra -Kanah indicates movement, a lot of movement, this could mean movign forward in life, a change of address, or job even a change in family. Sometimes the Paddler Gods may come up if you need MORE movement in your life indicating that now is the time to put action to your plans.

Scorpio - In the Chinese language the idiom for 'danger' is the same as 'opportunity' danger comes in many forms and Chibil Kin comes to warn you of rough seas ahead. Be very aware of your finances, not all dangers are physical recognize that they can be emotional as well. Worry not because the dangers will pass quickly.

Sagittarius - Pop denotes the need to give and/or recieve advice. Be wise in your choice of counselor, even if you have to start out with someone who may not be as well trained or organized as you would like, something is better than nothing.

Capricorn - The glyph Karn comes into your life this month indicating that being to comfortable or to satiated can be as bad as starving or moving to fast. Take a look around you and reasses, are you settling? Do you feel stuck? If you do then now is the time to make a change Universe will guide your way.

Aquarius - This is a month in which your strength will shine, there will be a lot of burdens weighing on you but you need to keep your headup, things will come out just fine. Pauahtun The Skybearer lends you the strength and the solidity to hold up the world if necessary, it will endure no matter how long you must sustain.

Pisces -Iq Icatz (new fire) indicates that right now you are at your height of manifestative power. With an 'out with the old in with the new' attitude you will begin new projects this month that will turn out to be great deals in the future if you play your cards right!

Mercury's Meditation

This meditation is all about socializing and recognizing the God or Goddess in you. Let the light of deity shine through you, remember you are piece of art who can bend matter to your will and has the power to change perceptions of yourself and others. Remember to start all your meditations with the Mind Sweeper exercise. Read this over before doing because there is some blanks you will need to fill in.

You enter a crowded hall, dressed in jeans and t-shirt while all others are in formal wear. Uncomfortable and alone you finally spot an acquaintance, you don’t know this person very well and have only seen them from time to time at a local convenience store, saying hi and bye. You walk up to this person, feeling kind of ignored as the person carries on a conversation with their friend. You tap the person’s arm and they smile at you. “Hello, I didn’t expect to see you here!”

“Not to sound completely ignorant, but where is here?” The Meeting of (think of some subject you know nothing about) Society.

“Oh” you reply with a lost and forlorn look on your face.

“Well” says your acquaintance,” It’s your first time here so I will be your guide.”

Feeling much safer the person leads you around the room. “That over there is Mrs. Reynolds, she is really informed about the Society. Why don’t you go talk to her to learn more?”

You head over to a tall elegantly dressed woman, her long gray hair held high in a bun and a string of pearls around her neck. She looks at you as though you are a fly on the wall. A man appears before you dressed like you in jeans and a t-shirt, Mrs. Reynolds look at him the same way. “Hey, how are you doing?” he says to the old woman holding out his hand. The woman looks flabbergasted. How does this guy have this much confidence? You think. He smiles broadly at both you and the other woman like a boy who got caught doing something naughty. The other woman smiles in return the wrinkles around her eyes crinkling, she looks like a giggly schoolgirl. You begin to feel a little more comfortable.

“So what is this all about?” The man asks looking at you.

“I..I don’t know.” You reply.

“You mean you haven’t asked yet? You have been here how long?” you feel a little upset at the way he talks to you but make no move to correct his behavior.

“Okay, here is the thing. I’m Mercury, all about communication! I’m your father, I’m a part of you. Yeah that’s right I’m in there beneath all the doubt and self-loathing. You just have to find me. What I’m here to do is to help you! It’s easy enough to speak, I mean you do it every day right? So what makes this so different? If your best friend were sitting across from you would you hesitate to ask what the heck they were talking about? Of course not! But that takes trust! You have to trust the other person not to make you feel like a complete bozo and reject you! Well here you don’t have that you don’t know that that won’t happen. Right?” He smiles at you as he takes a breath No wonder he is the God of Communication he doesn’t shut up you think to yourself.

“First off I heard that, and yeah I do talk a lot. But always with reason I want you to imagine that the bald guy over there is your best friend. Imagine you’ve known him forever, been to his house a million times, and met his wife, his dog Fido and his kids. Just try it for me will ya?”

You hesitantly agree to try it. He then pushes you in the direction of the bald man, his suit is pressed just so and he has diamond cufflinks, definitely muck a muck. You would rather crawl under a rock right now but then your mind magically forms the man into the image of your best friend. You shake your head trying to get rid of the vision but it doesn’t fade or disappear, this must be your best friend! You look behind you for Mercury but he is no longer there.

You smile and walk up to your friend. “Hi! How are you?” the person looks back at you “Well I am doing wonderful! How about you?” A similar smile answers yours.

“I’m doing great, so what do you think of this gathering? I’ve never been to one before.”

“Oh you haven’t? Let me introduce myself my name is Mr. Spaulding, I’ll fill you in on the purpose of this meeting of the (Society Name).” Suddenly the image of your friend disappears and the bald man, but you are comfortable with him and the feeling of companionship doesn’t lessen.

As he leads you around the room you greet a myriad of people, but you are comfortable, each person smiles at you, although dressed as you are you are not sure why, you are nothing special. Then you look down at yourself, you are in a beautiful formal outfit, and the man with you is none other than Mercury dressed to the nine’s.

“You did it! You introduced yourself to someone without being afraid. The key to this is recognizing that everyone is a potential best friend, everyone is family, you are my children. Sometimes a child can be mean and stubborn, expect it, it will happen, but remember they have not yet reached their maturity and are in the stage of the Maiden or Son, they will grow, they have their own lessons to learn and learn them they will. But as I was saying, for every stubborn mean child there are a thousand mature, kind, and wonderful children.”

“As one of my children I am a part of you!” Mercury touches your throat and the corner of your mouth. “You have the gift of communication, use it to your advantage. If ever you are scared let me speak through you. Let my voice be your voice, know you are a piece of me and that you are beautiful.” Suddenly he changes to a bright blue light and dissolves into you. You can feel his presence surrounding you, your confidence building as you peruse the hall. You approach a woman, her long blonde hair was tied back in a clip, she is thin in a dark red dress, just beautiful. Typically you would find this situation intimidating, but you feel Mercury with you. You smile as you walk the last couple of steps toward her.

“Hi! My name is (your name), this is my first time here and I just wanted to introduce myself.”

The woman looks at you as though you are beneath her and doesn’t reply but begins to talk to her other friends. You tap her on the shoulder. “I think I’ve met you somewhere before, but I’m not sure. Where are you from?” The woman names some far off place you’ve never heard of. “No that’s not it, but I swear I’ve seen your face before! Hmm… okay then, I don’t know where I recognize you from. But I can see you are busy, sometime though I would love to sit down with you and compare notes. I know I know you!” The woman gives you a contemptuous smile.

“I don’t think you move in my circles.”

You begin to grow downtrodden; your confidence is beginning to fail. Just as you were about to make another awkward remark Mercury speaks to you. “Ask about her dress.”

Oh, Thanks you say in your mind.

“Beautiful dress where did you get it?”

“It’s Dolce.” She replies.

You then talk for another couple of minutes about fashion; eventually the talk turns to work then family and home. I knew you could do it! Good going’! Your on your own now, keep it going I’m always with you and you are always safe no matter the circumstance I will protect you! You smile Thanks Mercury.

Now is the time to take the meditation into your own hands, let your imagination flow! Remember you are trying to make yourself as uncomfortable as possible, use your I statements, and make the person you are speaking to realize how interested you really are in their conversation. Make each person harder to talk to.

You walk out of the meeting feeling safe, secure and loves. You wake feeling rejuvenated, renewed, and confident.

Mercury's Exercise

Yesterday I posted all about Mercury and feeling intimated when approaching new people or networking! One thing is for sure; if you don’t put forth effort nothing will ever happen. So try for the next week introducing yourself to five strangers. Just walk up and say hello. If they look at you oddly, well, smile! Baby steps are the best steps. So if you feel uncomfortable walk away but remember what I said people love to talk about themselves. Another thing to think about is as much as you are nervous, no matter if the person is snotty or sweet as pie, most likely they are nervous too.

Mercury God of Communication and the Mind

Do you ever feel stupid? I used to! I talk to a lot of people through my work and sometimes I don’t understand a word they are saying, it goes right over my head. It used to make me feel less than when I didn’t comprehend something, and I often felt that in order to feel useful I had to get a college degree or some type formal academic training under my belt to prove I was a sophisticated and intelligent person.

Not all of us know the life cycle of a fly or what it means if the NASDAQ is below a certain percentage, when your around those who do it can be intimidating to talk to them. But what most of us don’t realize is that in our chosen field, which I assume you know A LOT about, we can be intimidating to someone who doesn’t understand it. It goes both ways. The great thing about life is it is one big school, we are always learning and presented with opportunities to continue our education!

I for one ask a lot of questions it is my Gemini curiosity rearing its head and everything interests me from the KFC cashier to the celebrities! Five or six years ago I would have had all these questions brewing in my mind but never the confidence to ask them. What changed it? Deity, He/She is all knowing, and as children of the deity we have a need to know. Nothing will ever change that.

The other thing that you need to keep in mind when you feel intimidated by a situation like this is that people love to talk about themselves. When I meet a person for the first time after introductions are done I often ask them to tell me their story. When some hears that phrase they will do one of two things, open up completely and unload all their dirty secrets and childhood memories, or just give me the basics either way I get them to talk a little (or a lot) about themselves. If you feel comfortable you can talk about yourself or just listen. But remember to use those I statements.

When they begin to talk about something you know nothing about just simply say, “I love what I am hearing but I think I would be able to appreciate it more if you explained (what ever part) to me.” People love to be praised it’s in our nature to look for gratification from others. If it is an aspect of their work you can say, “Wow I can see you are very proud of what you do, it sounds very interesting! I feel that I could understand your work better if you explained (aspect of work) to me.”

One of the other things that used to really make me uncomfortable was being at a party and not knowing anyone. But I am a Goddess, you are God or Goddess, so that kind of makes us family doesn’t it? Once you recognize the God or Goddess in yourself and others you will begin to feel more comfortable not only with yourself but with people you do not know. Let’s work on these two things: Asking questions to strangers and introducing yourself to strangers.

I am Venus!

Who wouldn’t want to be the Goddess of Love right? Well now is your chance! Make sure to do your mindsweeper After you have done that and have kept it going for five or ten minutes begin with this meditation.

You walk into a clearing there are men/women laying all around, as you enter they look to you with love and admiration in their eyes, you are naked, safe and comfortable in your own body. You can feel the blood thrumming in your veins; you wiggle your fingers and toes, feeling each bone move in accordance. Before you is a red velvet settee, you walk over and lay upon it, the material teases you’re skin making it more sensitive. One of your followers approaches you, he/she touches your thigh “I love your skin. It is soft and beautiful, it protects you and cares for you, just as I do.” Thne another approaches you, you notice that a line is forming. “I love your eyes the next says, they are expressive, full of knowledge and warmth. They show the love you feel for someone, the caring and understanding you have they show your soul. They are beautiful and are just one of the many perfections that is you.”

“I love your feet, they support you and help you walk your path, they take you where they need to be, they are formed to perfection, sensitive, and fun. Just like you.”

“I love your calves, they are strong and wonderfully shaped, they help carry you.”

“I love your thighs, they are beautifully molded and perfect the way they are. Sensitive for love making and strong.”

“I love your face, your nose, your ears, your mouth, your cheeks, perfect for kissing and caressing, gorgeously molded and shaped.”

Each admirer continues each naming a different body part and how much they loved it, why they loved it. When they finished and have all sat in the clearing, you rise with the help of two of your followers. You leave the clearing feeling loved, admired, and confident in your body.

Although this meditation has sexual undertones (I mean it is Venus how can you not) the whole reason we do this is to help with the tape in your head, constantly focusing on the negative of your body. Anything you feel embarrassed about, or is negative on your body can be fixed because it is just perception. What you hear when you say I’m fat, is not you. It’s what society has told you. Don’t Listen!!!

Venus: Goddess of Confidence and Self-Love

Venus was the Goddess of Love, love of self and others, in this chapter we are going to channel her, it doesn’t matter what you look like you can be a Venus or Adonis. In the last chapter we discussed negative thoughts and views and how they affect us. Well we are going to expand on that a little bit. With appreciation and love of the self comes confidence. I was always different, and I got teased mercilessly for it. Until I realized the Goddess in myself and learned to love myself did I realize it didn’t matter what other people thought about me only what I thought about myself. People tease or talk for only three reasons, one, to make themselves feel better, two, fear, three, because they feel it will impress someone else. I’ve always been a little voluptuous and that was one of the reasons I got teased the most. Within our society is the feeling to be perfect, slim, be rich. Honestly, you don’t need to be any of these things to be worth something. Deity created you, your worth a heck of a lot.

Most who come to me for meditation work have confidence issues, starting with their body image. So let’s start there. Get a full-length mirror, stand in front of it completely clothed. What do you like? If you have a spouse or partner have them join you. What do they like about your body? Next get into your underwear. What do you appreciate about yourself? Focus on the positive. Have your spouse or partner do the same. Then get completely naked. Look at what Deity gave you, you are a magnificent creature, focus on the positive. Do you like your smile, your hips, and your butt? Touch the skin of your arms, feel how soft it is, look into your eyes in the mirror, see the knowledge they contain, the life, the energy. Focus on them for a while; let your body fade away. Just stay there for a moment. Let your hands roam over your skin as you do this mapping your body. Think of Venus, in most of her painting she was a little voluptuous, not exactly today’s rail thin image of beautiful, she had her flaws, but that did not stop her or her lovers from enjoying and loving her body. Love your body. Try this exercise every night for one week before moving on, get naked as often as you can, even if it’s just walking around in your own house. Most people try to keep themselves covered as often as possible this makes our bodies alien to us, a separate entity not under our own control and so we work against it instead of admiring and working with it.

Often we try to cover up our shape, size and perceived imperfections beneath clothes, make up and plastic surgery. What needs to be recognized is we are each a living piece of art, meant to be loved and appreciated for our own individual perfection. Remember the quote, “If art was meant to be perfect, it wouldn’t be art.” Appreciate yourself as an artistic creation of Deity meant to be exactly how you are, because no matter how much you try to change your looks you are still…you.

Hecate’s Meditation

Hecate is a powerful Goddess, one who never questions her decisions, soon you will too! Every time we make a decision we question, was it the right one? What if I made the wrong one? Sometimes it can get to the point where we second guess ourselves so much that we actually don't make any decision at all!. So let Hecate help us conquer that fear!
Remember do the Mind Sweeper first!

On the night of the full moon, you leave your home and head for the street corner, two streets intersect with four stop signs. Suddenly a mist descends in the middle of the road, from it comes a beautiful woman her long red hair has gray streaks at the temples, in her left hand she carries a staff, her dark green cape swirls around her of it’s own accord. There is no breeze.

A soft smile makes her look younger than her years, “You are one of my favorite creations.” She says to you her voice a lilting symphony of vocal chords. “What can I do for you my child?”

“I am a stuck Hecate (problem you are facing), I don't know what to do! Can you please show me my options? Aid me in making this decision” you ask looking to the kindly woman for help.

“I am the Goddess of the Crossroads, I help those who need to choose a path. I am a part of you; you need not fear the choices you make for I lead you to them. Each choice is a lesson, and each lesson is a blessing. Do not fear seeking counsel from me for I am always here.” She touches your mind. “Do not hesitate upon making a choice, for that makes the choosing harder, always rely on my voice inside you, I will always point you in the right direction. If it does not turn out the way you planned it is simply another adventure, another experience, from which to learn, but you are always protected worry not. These are your choices."

Suddenly the road signs melt away the red paint dripping off the sign beneath it on each sign is an option. The street lights flicker and change to different colors. Each street has its own hue, red, green, blue and yellow.

"Each color represents a different path." Hecate tells you. "Which color are you drawn to?"

"(Name the color)." say this color aloud

"Each color has its own representation my child. You have chosen.." Skip to color.

Green: Brings healing, but obstacles will be placed in your path to cause that healing to occur.

Blue: Will bring you financial and spiritual security. But you must work twice as hard to keep it.

Yellow: Will bring you the recognition you desire, but you must be open to the opportunity and the sacrifice that may be needed to attain it.

Red: Gives you passion and creativity but you must learn to harness it and use it wisely else that passion will be like a fire and consume you.

"I am with you always my child, to guide you through the uncertain threads that Fate weaves. You must realize that the web is merely a guide not a certainty. We make our own way.

The old woman opens her arms to you and you embrace her, it feels as though you are hugging your mother or grandmother, such love and affection, tenderness and acceptance of everything you are. A surety and confidence flows over you. Suddenly she is gone, but she is not gone she is a part of you always. You are alone, but not alone. You are your Mother’s child and She is always with you. You begin to walk down the street you have chosen, suddenly it seems as if the Sun has risen it is so bright out and your path becomes clear. You awake feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and confident in your choices and decisions.

Hecate Goddess of the Crossroads.....Queen of Decision Making

Hecate is a Crone Goddess, she guards Crossroads and is a wise woman, she helps people make choices. Which is why in this section we are going to connect with out inner Hecate. She understands that no choice is the last choice you will ever make, and that with every decision there is a consequence, a rebirth.

Have you ever felt like the next decision you make will change your life forever in either a positive or negative way? We’ve all had to make decisions we didn’t want to make. Whether you’re a boss who had to fire an employee or a mom who couldn’t make the sons soccer game because of work. We’ve made decisions that were “wrong” for us, and have bit us square in the butt. We then continue to degrade ourselves for not making the opposite decision. When you make a decision what are you’re first thoughts? Circle your choice.

1) Ok, I need to figure out the pros and cons…I probably won’t sleep tonight

2) Eeenie Meenie Miney Moe

3) Whatever

4) I know this won’t work out

What happens when the choice you made does come back on you in a negative way. What are your first instincts? What is the first thing you say to yourself?

1) Okay why did it go wrong? I need to go back to my list!

2) Can I have a redo?

3) Not my fault!

4) I knew this was going to happen!

By circling the answers above determined which type of decision maker you are Whichever color you picked the most of is your thought process, don’t be surprised if you are a combination every is different! Being aware of your decision making process is really important because it makes you aware of the tape playing in your mind.

1) The Analyzer – you don’t let anything go, you are constantly mucking a problem around in your head even after you have already made the decision.

2) The Wishy Washer – you bounce between the choices completely unsure of which way to go. You will pick on then immediately change your mind and often feel that with even the smallest choices you could screw up your entire life!

3) The I Don’t Care But I Really Do – your first words when someone asks you to make a choice would be whatever! Or doesn’t matter to me. You often feel that as long as you don’t make the decision it won’t affect you. Usually people like this have issues with taking responsibility not only for themselves but others. Or you agree to please others.

4) The Negative Perceiver – It’s going to go to pot before you have even made a decision! You think the worst so you will be prepared! But what you are actually doing is manifesting the worst thing you can imagine!

When you make a decision and it backfires do you see scenarios in your mind of how you could have changed it? What you would have done differently? What you should have thought about? Why get mad at yourself? When something negative happens in your life. Do you yell at your God? No you yell at yourself, why didn’t you do this or you could’ve done that. But why get mad at yourself? Deity leads you; if you make a “wrong” (I use this term loosely for no decision is the wrong decision) choice then there is probably a lesson to learn from it.

As of today there are three words will be erased from your vocabulary:

Could’ve
Would’ve
Should’ve

Whatever your actions may be, no matter what you choose, you have made a decision. Whether it was impulsive or well thought out. Right for you or “wrong” for you, you made a decision. You LEARN from that decision.

I’ve seen many people who have made one big decision or a bunch of little choices in their life that threw them completely off track. Your choices COULD affect the rest of your life IF you LET them. The wonderful thing about reality is that it can be bent to your will for you are the son/daughter of the Divine and therefore you are the Divine. If you decide to quit your job tomorrow because you can’t get along with your boss, you co-workers or you are just generally unhappy with it, is it the end of the world? No it’s not! Not for you, you are a God/dess. You can bend this reality to your will you just have to put a little effort behind it. So you think about your ideal job. You take the steps needed and you get it. Did you catch that? The word Will came up again. About that word what is Will? Will to me is the strength of an idea. If you believe in that idea and yourself enough, nothing will stop you because you’re WILL is too strong.

Tarotscopes July 2011

Hey Friends!

Happy July! This month we are going to be using Tarot in the Land of Mysterium by Jordan Hoggard. This is a 78 card tarot deck although the cards are much bigger than your usual tarot, the point of this deck is to help you learn about yourself, you character, traits, and to use your imagination and intuition! From my understand of the deck each card is not a card but a character and you begin to understand yourself based on how you feel or what you see around this character! Sounds pretty interesting! The art itself is pretty cool, using bold color choices with an almost psychedelic feel to them, its a standard format with Major Arcana, Minor Arcana and pips. But the art is very different than other standard decks, which I love, you can really tell that the illustrator took artistic license and allowed their creativity to manifest. This in turn inspires the reader to let their own creative juices flow!
Now that I've done that little bit let me also tell you it comes with a 192 page book! I love how the writer literally writes as the character. When describing the Hanged Man it starts with:

"Hey there! Up here in the tree! Welcome! Do you like playing on the jungle gym? Do you like climbing and hangin' out? I sure do! I hear you have a message for me from my Mom The Empress. Cool, Kewel! What is it?!
Climb on up in your mind and hang out with me. Your imagination is the best and safest first place things like this. You do not need to be concerned about these ropes. They are loose! I imagined them there so I could really see and feel the connection between my hands and between my foot and my favorite tree!"

Comical and entertaining Tarot in the Land of Mystereum challenges you to open your mind and let your imagination take you over, to release control and enter a dreamland where anything is possible and you can feel safe in discovering who YOU really are.

CANCER - Happy Birthday to all of the Cancers out there! This month will start out on a fairly positive footing with the 6 of Wands entering your atmosphere indicating success! A feeling of great accomplishment just soak in those wonderful energies and enjoy the moment. Actually what you end up doing and succeeding in may end up being even bigger than you realized so don't stress, just keep your head down and get creative! Scorpio -The 2 of Swords meets you at the start of July, indicating a decision to be made and the need to really strategize, you may be the one judging the situation rather than actually being involved in the argument. Anubis Meditation

I like to use the iconography of the Gods from many different cultures and religions. Granted, I may take a little creative license with them, in the end it is for good purpose so I am sure they don't mind! Remember to do the mind sweep before trying this one! The following meditation is all about judgments, here you will meet Anubis He is an Egyptian God of Death, he weighs the hearts of those who have passed over, and makes judgment. Please read through this meditation first as there are going to be places you need to fill in.

You walk into a tomb, its tan colored block walls are cold to the touch but torches warm the room, you follow a passageway deeper into the earth. The steep decline seems to go on forever, the light from the torches cast eerie shadows and you feel as though you are not alone. You come upon a door, it’s iron handle cold to the touch. Hesitantly you open it, you enter into a room filled with light. A giant scale lies in the center, and a black dog headed figure stands to the left of it.
“Why are you here?” He asks in a deep gravelly voice.
“To have my self-judgments weighed.” You reply.
“As you will.” He approaches you standing to your left. You notice on one side of the scale is a feather on the other is nothing. This is where you judgment will go.
Anubis continues on,” If your judgment is true then you will rise higher then the feather, if it proves false you will sink lower. Because truth unburdens us and makes us lighter, lies weigh us down and keeps us from growing. Sit upon the scale.”
You follow his direction and sit on the right side of the scale the brass is cold on your buttocks, you tremble a little bit out of nervous then the scale begins to move, you hold on to two of the three chains connected to the plate as the scale balances itself.
After a couple of minutes you are equal to the feather.
“What is your first judgment?” Anubis asks his black eyes seem to see through you, into your very being.
“My name is (insert your name here)” Slowly the scale moves, you begin to descend, and then ascend.
“Truth, your name is (insert your name here)”
“I am not perfect, even though I should be.” Your side of the scale moves downward, then up, then down again.
“False, you are perfect. Just as you were meant to be.”
“I am to skinny/fat” Your side of the scale stays just as it is.
“False. You are not to skinny/fat.”
Continue through your own self-judgments let Anubis help you, but please be honest with yourself you will get nowhere if you do not.
You leave the room closing the heavy door behind you, you walk up the tunnel back towards the main entrance. There is no fear in the tunnel now only a bright light as if it were day, no shadows leap upon the walls. You enter the main room of the tomb and walk out the entrance and into the light of the day. You will wake feeling refreshed, renewed, rejuvenated and loved.

Mind Sweep Meditation

This meditation will clear your mind completely, although I can’t stress enough that you need to practice this everyday. Do not get discouraged if it does not come to you right away, or you cannot keep your mind empty for more than a minute. This is a meditation and meant to be relaxing. Just keep at it.

Close your eyes see the blackness behind the lids. It is a total darkness, look around you, feel the floor beneath your feet, and you are safe. Listen to the thoughts racing in your mind, see them land on the floor in brilliant white lettering, anything you think feel or see ends up on the floor.
As you look to your left a mop sits in the corner, pick it up. Begin to clean away the thoughts on the floor. Keep cleaning until all is black again. When you have accomplished this hold it for as long as possible. If more words begin to appear, pick up the mop and clean them up. Try to hold it for five minutes.

As you read this meditation it looks fairly simple, but in fact to still the mind for long periods of time takes some people years to accomplish. So do not be upset if you are not a mind-clearing guru on your first, second, third or even fourth try! Just keep at it. The more you do it the easier it will become.

Hello Lovelies!

Meditation is so important for any budding reader or anyone at all, it helps to reduce stress, keep you objective and overcome some of life's larger issues. I have been meditating since I was a little girl and even spending just five minutes a day closing my eyes and letting my mind go helps to put me more at ease.
On the Psychic Switch (Wed. nights @ 8pm ET) I say all the time one of the best ways to hear spirit is to turn your mind off. It's true, how do you expect to hear the words of spirit if your mind is abuzz? It's like trying to scream across the room at someone at a crowded concert.
So for the next couple weeks I will be posting some different meditations, ones that I have found useful. They are all original created by me. I have had clients, colleagues and friends use them with success and I hope you do to!
Some of these will just be stress relievers, others will focus on specific issues, whether it be connecting with spirit, dealing with self-image or making a decision.
One of the tools I find most useful for this is a voice recorder or computer. You can simply speak in a monotone voice the words of the visualization/meditation, then play it back and vegetate. Personally, I couldn't just read some of the meditations and memorize them so I found this way to be easiest.

The first meditation will be posted tomorrow morning! We will start with my favorite...The Mindsweeper!

June Tarotscopes 2011

Hello Lovelies!
I took the month of May off from the Tarotscopes but now we are back for June! I love this month (partially because I was born in it) the month of June brings thoughts of romance and marriage to many minds. This month's deck is Tarot: The Kingdom Within by Juno Lucina and Shannon Thornfeather. I have to say that the imagery in this deck is both vivid and multicultural following several different mythologies from Pagan to Mayan, Christian and

Greek. I was a little disappointed when they threw the Pirates of the Caribbean in there as the Hanged Man and the Minivan for the Chariot. Overall the deck is okay, those two cards just don't feel connected to the deck at all aside from artistic styling you would never know they were a part of the deck. Although there were about six 'modern' cards (meaning they had

modern day connotations or themes) the other four weren't a bother to me. Their art is very different, a little more whimsical and at times, childlike. The imagery used is bold and colorful, which I very much like. Would I use this deck every day? Probably not, but it is one I am happy to keep in my collection.

Gemini (May 21 - June 21) - In the beginning of June you enter the phase of the Nine of Pentacles, now is not the time to start anything new! You may keep feeling like walls block every path but it's Universe's way of saying 'Take a break already!' Keep going with your current ventures, plan for new projects but now is not the time to put those plans into action. Mid-month the Two of Cups upright presents itself, this card is an indication of True Love coming to you, if you are already in a relationship it speaks of a reconnection or reaffirmation of that love. At the end of the month the King of Wands rides in (in The Kingdom Within the archetype used is that of Jesus Christ flying on a Phoenix) put your plans into action NOW! You will see victory in any matter concerning,

creativity or power! This card brings with it an entrepreneurial spirit, so now is the time to start a new business or project on your own. The money will come and people will follow you.

Aries (March 21 - April 20) - Satisfaction will strike you during the first 3rd of this month, a solid accomplishment has been made as indicated by the Ten of Pentacles. Rejoice in your feeling of success! At mid-month you meet the Prince of Pentacles (a.k.a. the Holly/Oak King) you may have plenty of ideas and tons of motivation but the support you need will be absent. Don't see this as an end all be all, even if you have to push things forward on your own this card says that you can! Be aware some of your 'friends' may be a little overly critical or you may be to critical of yourself and your capabilities. But have no doubts friend! You can do it! At the end of the month we see the Five of Pentacles reversed coming into play. This tells me that even though you may worry about the finances, you don't have to. Upright it indicates financial traumas and issues looming but reversed...well it's the opposite! so you will end the month on good note in the money dept.

Taurus (April 21 - May 20) - You start off the month in the Four of Swords indicating a new partnership, this could be love or work so be open to potential opportunities on either side. During the middle of June things will feel up in the air as you enter into the Wheel of Fortune but by the end of the month you will have a new idea or person around you (maybe the one you met in the first part of the month) that you see a ton of potential around as indicated by the Nine of Wands. Don't be afraid to invest your energy and time!

Cancer (June 22 - July 22) - Temperance greets you at the beginning of the month telling you to look for balance! Acknowledge the opposites around you and try to maintain both aspects of self. You know that saying, 'Work hard, play hard.' Do that! Mid-month we see the Star moving in indicating that there is a lot of hope around you for positive outcomes in your situation. Be sure to keep your faith and will strong, nothing will be able to stop you. The Seven of Pentacles at the end of the month foretells that there will be some upset and discontent surrounding you. The situation may not have gone as you planned, but do not be discouraged. There is opportunity even when things don't go your way.

Leo (July 23 - Aug. 22) - You enter the month with the Two of Wands, telling you that there will be conquest, a victory, but it is bittersweet as you may have to take a more aggressive attitude. Although you get the win, it may not be as satisfying as you expected. The middle of June brings with it the Eight of Pentacles reversed. It's time for you to really focus, but there will be a lot coming at you mid-month you may find your brain hopping all over the map and getting overwhelmed. Try some exercises to clear your mind and relieve your stress. Death reversed hits you at the end of the month, foretelling of changes to come. Typically with Death it is change with a sacrifice, but in this case not so much. The changes will come whether you will them to or not. So just be prepared.

Virgo (Aug. 23 - Sept. 22) - We face illusions everyday, of grandeur, of what beauty should be. The Seven of Cups comes in to warn you that there are illusions all around you, some illusions are healthy to have, but the ones surrounding you my friend are very harmful. Whether you are riding the river of denial or being lied to, it's time to clean out your closet and really take a look at the people surrounding you. The Ten of Wands comes in mid-month indicating that you will feel a little caged or 'stuck', there is not movement forward or backward, you just are. At the end of the month comes Strength, giving you the ability to break free of your bonds and push yourself forward as fast as you can.

Libra (Sept. 23 - Oct. 22) - Dionysus greets you at the beginning of the month (Prince of Wands) now is the time to take calculated risks. Although you may not see too much of a push forward in your ventures right now, the start of a new project or the idea of a risk really gives you a rush. One that you will continue to chase throughout the beginning of the month. Don't be afraid to play the game, just don't show anyone your cards to early on, be confident in negotiations. The King of Swords Mictlantecutli looks to you at midmonth flying in on a large bat he tells you that now is the time to share your knowledge. People will be asking your advice, opinions and looking to your for guidance. Prepare yourself to take on the roll of mentor or counselor for those around you. At the end of June you enter into the phase of the Fool, which tells you to be careful and really look before you leap. There will be some new opportunities coming your way, they will sound too good to be true and they are.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 - Nov. 21) - As you come into June you move into the phase of the Moon, now is the time to follow your intuition to get the answers you are seeking. Something is currently blocking your way to those answers, pay attention to that little voice in the back of your mind and you will remove the obstacles. The Six of Cups comes to you mid-month expect sexual tensions to heighten between you and your partner (or partners depending on your situation) your need for physical love may be near to unbearable. At the end of the month you feel positive in the decisions you have made. Justice is on your side!

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 20) - Fight the good fight this month Sagittarius, there are plenty of causes to put your name to now is the time to be giving the Seven of Wands encourages you to! The Two of Swords comes to you mid-June offering a moment of balance and harmony, enjoy it and put your feet up for a little bit. At the end of the month you feel content with your lot in life, a very rare sentiment indeed. Bask in your accomplishments and the simplicity of the world around you.

Capricorn (Dec. 21 - Jan. 19) - The Page of Pentacles pops in at the beginning of the month to remind you to celebrate your inner child. Sit down with some crayons, blow bubbles and just act goofy! Don't be afraid to run through the sprinklers either! Mid-month brings a little bit of conflict but nothing that you can't handle. You may feel a little attacked but just remember to keep calm and try to look at the situation from all sides. At the end of the month it's all going to be about work, you enter the phase of the Three of Pentacles, indicating Triumph after much hard work.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 - Feb. 18) - The King of Pentacles makes his way to you at the beginning of the month bringing ideas of Capitalism and feelings of authority. You will be put in a position of leadership, take advantage. Middle of June brings the Empress, reminding you to pay attention to your intuitive self and honor your feelings by speaking them in a productive, not destructive way (remember to use I statements ex: I see, I think, I feel, I hear) in order to get your point across. At the end of the month the Page of Cups symbolized by Faerie Puck, telling you that right now is not the time to focus on the spiritual, your head really isn't there. Take advantage and put all of your energy into the mundane right now, creating the best physical reality that you can.

Pisces (Feb. 19 - March 20) - The beginning of the month you start out in the Ace of Cups indicating a time of creativity, budding relationships and emotions. Now is not the time to focus on past hurts and issues, but to think on the future. Mid month you move into the Hanged Man reversed, things will not be standing still, expect life to come at you more quickly then usual, your job is just to try and keep up. At the end of the month comes the Page of Wands, now is the time to seek out answers to your questions. Perhaps you have been waiting for a teacher or haven't found the right book, now is the time to really put your heart into looking for it.

Tarotscopes April 2011

I guess lovelies, that you could say I am on an oracle deck kick. This month I am using the Journey Oracle created by Adrienne Trafford, it is a 48 card deck the imagery inspired by Vincent VanGogh, Gustav Klimt and Alphonse Mucha, I find the deck itself to be both inspiring and whimsical. The simplicity of the cards, warm colors and intriguing figures are very inviting. I love how she mixed iconography, and played with the female figures, each one is incredibly similar but absolutely different. This is a great way to discover aspects of our own multifaceted nature, with roles such as the Adventuress. It is also great when asking a question about a particular situation or just drawing a card in the morning to recognize what aspect of yourself will come into play that day. This deck is useful in many different ways, and I have to say it is my new favorite oracle!!!

So like last time I will be pulling one card for each of the signs this month, letting you know what facet of your personality to make use of or what ability will be most useful!

Aries (March 21 - April 20) – Happy Birthday Aries!!!! Just a shout out Happy Birthday Alysia! XOXO Unfortunately for a birthday month you may not be feeling quite as free as you would like, the Confined card appears for this month. Trapped within your own body and craving for a light to show you the way out. You may feel a little bit like an outsider this month, and somewhat introverted, take advantage and reassess your own life. Creativity abounds this month so do not be afraid to play around with new ideas and artistic mediums!

Taurus (April 21 - May 20) – Appreciation greets you for this month bringing with her the message to enjoy everything around you, recognize that things take work and don’t forget to thank those involved! Apprecation also reminds you to give yourself credit and a pat on the back for your own good deeds and progress!

Tarotscopes: March 2011

This month’s deck is not your typical tarot, but it is actually an oracle deck. Entitled Nature’s Wisdom Oracle by Mindy Lighthipe. I found the cards easy to read and interpret. Mindy previously established herself through Schiffer Publishing as a children’s book author having written and illustrated the book Mother Monarch which tells the story of a monarch butterfly’s lifecycle from egg to chrysalis and beyond. Also there are instructions in the back of the book as to how to create your own garden to attract these vibrant creatures. So it comes as no surprise that she created a deck themed by nature, this earth child has lent her artistic talents to a truly inspiring endeavor. I have to say Bravo! Fabulous job! I encourage those who read this blog and have an interest in oracle decks to check this one out. It is worth the price.
As I am using an oracle deck this time around the layout of the Tarotscopes will be slightly varied rather than doing three cards I will only be doing one as a theme for the month.

Pisces (Feb. 19 - March 20) – Happy Birthday Pisces! The card that comes up for you this month is the Bat…no not like baseball. Oftentimes people view the bat as being evil, what with it’s mysterious habits, connections to vampire legend and of course it’s creepy leathery wings. But these little villain is actually quite the hero, a bat can eat up to 600 mosquitoes in an hour’s time, he comes to you to remind you that even though situations may look trying or malevolent, there are benefits to it. Don’t let fear hold you back, embrace the lesson, go forward with confidence even through the most troubling of times this month!

Aries (March 21 - April 20) – You are a Blue-Footed Booby, c’mon how many times have you wanted to say that? HaHa. This animal reminds you to find the humor in the situations surrounding you. Honestly now is the time to kick back, relax and laugh.

Taurus (April 21 - May 20) – The Coyote can adapt to any situation and this month the powerful animal lends you this ability. Do not be afraid to change strategies and try new situations! Now is the time to test your adaptability!

Gemini (May 21 - June 21) – The Dragonfly greets you this month bringing with it the power of change and transformation. No change is not always comfortable but it is well worth it, the dragonfly represents the gap between the conscious and subconscious minds. Now is not the time to get stressed over minor details or even big events. It is time to just let universe take over and see how things unfold!

Leo (July 23 - Aug. 22) – Typically I go by Mr. Aesop and tell people to look before you leap but this month the Frog is coming to you and saying,” Just go for it!” You’ve been thinking about possible changes for a while and you are holding yourself back. Stop thinking, now is the time for action!

Virgo (Aug. 23 - Sept. 22) – Your card for this month is the Raven, many people doubted this birds incredible intelligence. Use your quick mind to make the next few critical decisions, use logic rather than feelings. There will be a lot of researching, and discovery going on this month for you!

Libra (Sept. 23 - Oct. 22) - A beautiful Orchid is yours for this month, but it's meaning is not one of joy or happiness but rather, obsession. Whether it be infatuation or stewing about a person who did you wrong the Orchid asks you to look over your current relationships and situations to be sure that you aren't obsessing.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 - Nov. 21) - The Passion Flower comes to you for the month of March reminding you to let your unique talents, and personality shine! Now is not the time to 'fit in' or squash those characteristics that make you uniquely you!

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 20) - The Hummingbird zips around your head giving you a lot of energy this month. You may be feeling extremely restless this month, but your challenge is to learn to channel that energy towards something truly productive. Be careful not to use it all up at once though!

Capricorn (Dec. 21 - Jan. 19) - The Snake joins you during the month of March to give the gift of healing. Be sure to take time out for yourself as your body tries to expel toxins, and the snake works towards bringing you to full health.

Book Review: Tarot Spreads and Layouts by Jeanne Friorini

Hey Lovelies!
I've recently decided to get into some book reviews regarding the tarot and other divination devices! So I figured why not jump in with both feet right? Recently I was sent a copy of Tarot Spreads & Layouts by Jeanne Fiorini. I immediately noticed in the bio that she is a contributing columnist for the American Tarot Association. I was a mentor for this same group over a year ago so I was very familiar with the quality of readers, enthusiasts, and philosophers, I couldn't wait to read the book. Aside from that, Jeanne is also the owner of Tarotworks.com a website dedicated to offering tarot products, classes and services!
I have to say that the beginning of the book really made me smile, I hear so many people go on about knowing the meanings behind the cards and sticking to them so strictly. I have never been that kind of reader, and I've never had an issue interpreting the cards. Jeanne speaks on the importance of the card meanings, and how the meanings can change through the relativity of perception. She also discusses the 'No-No's' of tarot reading like asking something that does not directly affect you.
She also teaches creative freedom when it comes to the layouts and how to create your own fabulous ones! In one instance, she imparts a personal story that occurred during one of her group meetings, having run out of material she decided to create a Thanksgiving Turkey Spread. This story simply solidifies the fact that tarot layouts can come in any shape or size!
Rather than just sectioning up the layouts into 1, 4, or 8 card spreads Jeanne decided to go about it a little differently creating multiple spreads that deal with issues ranging from love and marriage to finances and business! I have to say one of my favorite layouts was the Chakra Spread under the health section!

Overall, I have to say this book is VERY good and I would definitely recommend it for those new to the tarot or who are feeling less than inspired with the divination system. Jeanne's love for the cards comes through loud and clear leaving you feel energized and excited to work with your deck!

Hello Lovelies!
What an entrance to 2011 huh?!?! A lot of the clients I have spoken to have talked about a rough January and I can't help but agree! However, in pulling cards for this month it seems that we are getting all of the 'crap' energy out at the beginning of the year to make room for growth the rest of the time. I expect things to settle energetically come the end of February and beginning of March. Just hold tight!! Not everything is negative and I do not want to make it seem that way at all. So let us find out what each sign has in store. This month I am using the Tarot of the Sidhe by Emily Carding this is a fantastic deck, Emily Carding is known as a visionary artist and it truly does translate into this full color 78 card deck. There is a foreward in the book by John Matthews who has authored more than ninety books on the subject of Celtic mythology and was the historical advisor on the movie 'King Arthur', besides that though the cards themselves are easily read their bright colors really inspire the intuitive mind and iconography used is just magnificent. Beginners may get confused as the deck does not use the standard pentacles, swords, wands and cups instead they are the Dreamers (air), Warriors (fire), Makers (earth) and Dancers (water) once you get a hold of the new names the deck is a breeze to read.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 - Feb. 18) - Happy Birthday Aquarius! The Maker Seven pops up first letting you know that you need to continue your current efforts, they aren't in vain. The beginning of the month will hold it's own challenges and it seems as though are you just trying to get a little bit ahead. However, at mid-month the Warrior Three comes into play bringing in an energy that helps align and right your world! Things will finally begin coming together, at the end of the month the Maker Ten comes to you letting you know that now is the time to be open to financial success. Things at home will calm and you can focus more on your career as everything else aligned earlier in the month! Be aware during this month for headaches, you've become so used to stress that when it finally begins to lessen your body may not know how to cope!

Aries (March 21 - April 20) - The Emperor in his reversed position greets you at the beginning of February, indicating that things may be feeling a little out of control. This is not an illusion, you truly don't have control over the situations going on around you at the moment. But therein is the life lesson, learn to just let go and allow Universe to take over. During the middle of the month you will move into the phase of Warrior Four, put your focus more at home during this time. It would be a fabulous time to think about transitioning into a new home, begin plans for renovations of your current home, or to paint the walls and rearrange furniture. Also this card tells you that your life's foundation is solid, so even when things may feel a little shaky trust that you've done right so far and that you are blessed. At the end of the month the Warrior Ten peeps in to let you know that a huge task lays ahead of you. This is a goal that you will be inspired to accomplish in the last weeks of February, move forward with haste so you can complete your deadlines!

Taurus (April 21 - May 20) - Dancer Five comes forward at the beginning of the month telling you something just isn't right, you may be feeling a little depressed, lost, or as though you lost something important. No worries though, whatever was lost will be found by mid-month with the introduction of Dancer Two. You will be meeting a new love or reconnecting with your current love! Temperance comes at the end of the month to let you know that now is not the time to be impulsive, take your time with your decision making.

Gemini (May 21 - June 21) - You immediately come into the phase of the Maker Eight at the beginning of February you will find it necessary to really come out of your shell as opportunities to network and connect abound. There will also be a few new opportunities coming to you, so be sure to put yourself out there and if you are looking for change, shout it out to the Universe. Mid-month you meet The Maker, now is the time to really unleash your creative self! Inspiration is everywhere! At the end of the month a challenge is put in front of you, you will have the opportunity to do good work for a great cause. Enjoy it!

Cancer (June 22 - July 22) - Maker Six greets you at the beginning of the month letting you know that generosity is key and to invite you to acknowledge the seemingly backwards concept of 'spending money to make money' be giving of your time and finances now and the rest of the year will be plentiful. Mid-month you meet the Warrior Princess (no not Xena) she warns you that you may be blocking out people who could help you. Your fierce need for independence may be handicapping you when it comes to projects your goals. Don't be afraid to ask for guidance and aid. You end the month as the Warrior Queen, who uses their gift of charm to persuade people, at this time you could sell ice to an eskimo...go forth and prosper!

Leo (July 23 - Aug. 22) - You move into the phase of the Magician, mystical powers aside you will be in the act of creating something out of nothing. Use all of your cunning and creativity to breathe life into your current project. The Maker King gives you skill to craft your project, a creative thinker who can turn anything into gold channel his talents to lend energy to what you are trying to accomplish. At the end of the month comes the Dancer Princess, who encourages you to truly express how you feel and put it all on the line. Now is not the time to hold back with friends and family as much as you may not like airing grievances or issues, do so, not only will it be good for you, but it may bring to light some things that they didn't realize!

Virgo (Aug. 23 - Sept. 22) - You become the Star at the beginning of February; your talent for seeing patterns in real life situations will cause you to reevaluate your life and really take a hard look at your goals and planning. Hope is the essence of the Star and at this moment, the Star is a mirror reflection of you, causing to face both the best and worst of yourself. This may happen with the people and friends around you, reflecting certain aspects of yourself. So take a hard look at your friends and family, see if you can see a little bit of yourself in their situation. The Elder comes in at the middle of the month, now is the time to gather information to store aware for future use. You may want to do some genealogy on family or the area you live in as well, you have to remember that the Elder is not just a sagely person, but they are also like historians giving you first person accounts of the past. Much like the beginning of the month a lot of the work happening throughout February will be in regards to recognizing patterns in your life both positive and negative, but above all, it's about stopping or ending negative cycles to help your growth in the future. At the end of the month, the Warrior Prince comes in giving you a heavy dose of passion, and spirit. You will feel justifiably angry at the end of the month because of a slight done to you. I don't think from what the cards are saying that it was intentional so don't get high and mighty to quickly!

Libra (Sept. 23 - Oct. 22) - Judgment joins you at the beginning of the month letting you know that finality is on its way. Whether it is a court case, projects ending, waiting for someone to make a decision or you have been trying to Judgment comes in to let you know that the end is near. The Maker Prince bestows on you the Gift of Connection, come mid-February reminding you to recognize that all things within the world are made of the same energy and that this energy is reactive to you. Use it to manifest your wants and needs you will be exceedingly focused during this time. At the end of the month comes a party or some sort of celebration. A task has been completed, a goal reached and a sense of child-like excitement fills the air! Enjoy it and bask in what the Dancer Three has to offer.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 - Nov. 21) - The Dancer Nine comes to visit you at the beginning of the month letting you know that you can go ahead and make a wish. Universe is in accord with you at this time, take the opportunity given to you by the Dancer Nine and ask for what you want, set goals, and watch yourself become victorious over the obstacles ahead of you. Mid-month the Maker Four reminds you not to be too greedy with your wants and needs, really pace yourself and be aware of your finances things might be a little bit tight. At the end of the month a truce between two enemies, there will be tension around you, but you will see it come to an end as a temporary truce is made. Take the time to relax and enjoy the quiet while it lasts!

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 20) - The Maker Five comes to you warning you to beware of winters bite! People will come seeking their debts and their due be careful to budget wisely as this card often indicates a time of poverty or loss of finances. The Emperor comes to visit next giving you the power to take the reins and gain full control over the situations surrounding you. Obstacles will still be there but much easier to overcome than earlier in the month. At the end of the month Warrior Ten drops in, you are feeling the weight of your responsibilities and they can feel like big burdens at times. Be sure to take time for yourself so you do not become to overtaxed. This phase passes quickly as you regain energy with a brief respite a few days before March.

Capricorn (Dec. 21 - Jan. 19) - First you move into the Dancer King during this time things will be in great chaos around you and your first thought may be to seek peace inside yourself but the Dancer King offers no quarter, you are in the middle of the chaos and may indeed be the cause of the chaos. Rest assured though it is all for a reason, a goal to be reached and a lesson learned. Out of the chaos comes opportunities as the World opens up and lays at your feet offering it's bounty. Great things lay ahead but for the middle of the month I would suggest taking your time and doing plenty of research before taking any of the opportunities offered. Better to take an opportunity where you might have to work a little harder but get a lot back than to take them all and burn out. At the end of the month the Warrior King comes to call offering a gift of glory. Big recognition coming your way, bask in the glow of a job well done then...get back to work!

Pisces (Feb. 19 - March 20) - At the beginning of the month you move into the phase of the Empress, empowerment is your middle name. It is all about taking back your own control, this can be done through planning, financial budgeting and negotiating or with a friend, lover or family through talks and standing your ground. During the middle of February you find yourself basking in the Sun, enjoy your time to be jubilant and happy, it is rare when we get moments of pure happiness, relish it! At the end of the month the Dreamer Queen visits giving you the gift of logic and reason. Now is the time to make any of the those important decisions you've been holding off on!!

Hello Lovelies!
Welcome to 2011!!! As the year ended, I decided to pull a card to find out the theme or energy for 2011, last year it was the Empress, this year we have moved into the Sun in its upright position! This card brings in a whole slew of opportunities; it indicates a happy and joyful year with many good times ahead! In the negative, there may be more of a tendency towards impulsive action and ego may get in the way. This month I am using the Tarot of the Cat People by Karen Kuykendall published by U.S. Games Systems. I've actually had this deck for years and own altogether three of them (two I use for double deck reading) I absolutely adore the imagery, of course I am a cat lover so I'm definitely biased. But the deck is not just cute cats arranged in a variety of ways the Tarot of the Cat People combines fantasy and sci-fi the characters are dressed so elaborately and the colors are gorgeous. I think this deck is perfect whether your just beginning or have been reading for a while, it's pictures are very inspiring! Now friends, on to the Tarotscopes!

Capricorn (Dec. 21 - Jan. 19) - Happy Birthday Capricorns! In the beginning of the month you move into the phase of The Moon upright, this will be a creative high point for you go with it. Unlike the sun, the moon is only a light in the darkness many interpret this card to indicate that you need to be careful of deceit or lies around you. At the middle of the month the Fool knocks on your door, a new path or new beginning is opening up for you! This may also indicate a spiritual awakening, on the negative side you are really going to want to be aware of your irrational thinking, as it may get out of hand during this time. At the end of the month you meet the King of Swords, a tall man with long black hair and a black panther beside him the King of Swords he really shows what a great mind, self confidence and successful energy can do! Now is the time to move forward with confidence, your wit will be especially sharp during this time and your mind constantly calculating although you will have more control over it than usual!

Aries (March 21 - April 20) - You start off the month in the Two of Wands reversed right now is not the time to have any deep conversations. It is almost like you are both speaking in different languages. Expect no resolution to arguments at this time; they will just go around in circles. But at the middle of the month The Star pops in to lend her influence giving you a renewed energy and allows you to open your energy to the blessings that Universe wants to give you. The month ends in Rejuvenation (typically Judgment) reversed, even with the renewal at midmonth honestly Aries you need to cut some of the extra work, you may sleep but you are more tired than when you originally went to bed and the energy boosters may not be as helpful as they used to be. Taurus (April 21 - May 20) - You begin the month in the Ace of Cups a time of inspiration, it heralds the birth of new ideas and ways of thinking! It can also in some instances be an indicator of an actual pregnancy. Take advantage of this time as new relationships, ventures and ideas blossom. The Page of Cups reversed greets you mid month letting you know that right now not everything is as it seems. You may feel on edge, nervous or even fearful during the midmonth, your intuition is off so don't go by your gut during this time your emotional center is out of whack it's time to regroup and find your center. You move into the Six of Cups at the end of January expect a lot of old emotions to resurface, it's all about nostalgia. You may find some old objects, reconnect with old friends, lovers or family that you haven't seen in a while.

Gemini (May 21 - June 21) - Justice reversed knocks on your door at the beginning of the month reminding you to look at both sides of the coin when it comes to situations and people. Remind yourself that there are always two sides to a story and that feelings are not facts! Then you transition into the Four of Swords mid-month telling you now is the time to relax and get rest. If you refuse to listen to the instructions of the Four of Swords Universe may help you towards that end by making you ill, causing you to stop in your tracks and forcing the rest. You may be rushing headlong to your goal whether it be a new car or home, however, there is still a lot of work to be done and you may miss some steps by trying too hard to fast. You enter the Page of Pentacles during the middle of the month indicating that you need to watch your physical health and take care of your body; mentally you are in a good place feeling cheerful and in balance. You may also be feeling more grounded than usual lacking the ability to creatively visualize and sticking to linear thinking rather than allowing your imagination to soar. At the end of the month you find yourself in Ace of Cups reversed that cheeriness from midmonth will dissipate and chaos will erupt around you. Just try to keep up and hold down the fort. Relationships may seem especially exhausting during this time as arguments will often be one sided or you may end up taking care of someone else's drama. Leo (July 23 - Aug. 22) - You begin the month in the phase of the Eight of Wands, bringing a ton of different opportunities but they are there and gone so quickly it is hard to catch them. When it comes to your ideas, although brilliant they will not be for you to act on but rather to give to friends and family as support or inspiration. At the end of the month, you meet the King of Wands in the reversed position letting you know you need to temper your need for the material with your appreciation for what you currently have. Being goal oriented is great; but do not get greedy.

Libra (Sept. 23 - Oct. 22) - It is time to indulge yourself Libra the Nine of Pentacles comes in to give you a feeling of financial freedom and the ability to invest a little in yourself, your home and to have fun! Count your blessings! I've seen this card come up a lot for people who recently left draining or abusive relationships as it typically relates to being 'enslaved' to another person or false belief. In the middle of January you slide into the Seven of Wands reversed, reminding you not to fear success, you have a ton of talent and potential but you fear letting yourself shine. Step out, and own your awesomeness! At the end of the month you turn to the Page of Pentacles letting you know you're taking people a little too literally and may be a smidgeon oversensitive to comments that are being made. Pisces (Feb. 19 - March 20) - You being January in the Seven of Pentacles don't be suprised if your pretty exhausted and still worrying about the money, the decisions you've made, and everything else under the sun. To calm the effect of this phase be sure to engage your brain in calming activities such as meditation so you don't go batty. Mid month you transition to the Nine of Cups reversed warning that you are beginning to lose sight of your roots and that you may take for granted your current happiness. This card also indicates that you need to be sure that you are doing plenty of relationship work behind the scenes, checking in with your partner or friends and continuing to strengthen those connections rather than just being happy that they are there. Hey Lovelies!
Yes I just posted the December Tarotscopes! Yay! But aside from that exciting news I have a little bit more to talk about! Firstly I wish you a merry happy holidays if I don't see you in the TenacityRadio.com chatroom, for a reading or on Facebook or Twitter. I do want to give a shout out to a very loyal Truthful Tarot reader named Lee! I recently got to go down and meet her, she has been reading the Tarotscopes for a while and I was so excited, her family especially her mum was fantastic and I even got to take home some of her portugese sweet bread (need I say yummy?).

So earlier today, I was working on the Tarotscopes when a knock came at the door.....so I ran in my jammies to greet the person (I had deliberately cleared my schedule this morning so I could do the tarotscopes so I knew it wasn't a reading) and it was this lovely young woman who dumped a package in my hands and took off. Stamped on the side was the name Schiffer in bold red letters. It couldn't be I thought to myself....but....it was. I ripped open the package, tossed around the paper packing and inside was a beautiful bottle of Chardonnay (I already have three bottles of Sangria from the last books so I was happy for the change) and my authors copy of Psychic Sex! One hundred and sixty full color pages....I had to be pinched to make sure it was real. Indeed it was!!!!

So friends with the delivery of the authors copy it only confirms Psychic Sex will be hitting the stores in the next few days and I must say that it looks beautiful (although I may be biased ;) )

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 20) - Happy Birthday Sag! Let's see what Universe has in store for you during your birthday month. During the beginning of the month Penelope and Odysseus greet you. Penelope encourages you to look at things around you with a detached view, you may be emotionally to close to some of the situations going on around you and because of that, you are not seeing your options clearly enough. Hello Lovelies!
The month of November will bring with it a lot of change and it seems to be an emotional month for most of us! For this reading I am using the Tarot of the Old Path by By Sylvia Gainsford & Howard Rodway and published by US Games. It draws on wiccan symbology with consultants for the deck including Margot Adler and the Farrars. I have to say the vivid colors and images are very inspiring. I love the attitude of each card and how clearly it comes through, all in all a beautiful deck and very easy to work with. Perfect for those beginning in the tarot, if you don't know the symbols, you don't need to worry about the main images speak clearly enough! A little confusing are some of the name changes such as with the Death card which in the deck is called The Close. But it is easily overcome once you recognize it. Now to the Tarotscopes!

Scorpio (Oct. 23 - Nov. 21) - Happy Birthday Scorpios! The beginning of this month will not be complete bliss :( The Five of Pentacles comes through to tell you to be wary of your money and possible bad investments. Make your money work for you and be very wise before putting it in someone else's hands. The Seven of Swords reversed visits you at the middle of the month to unburden you of your heavy load. A nice breather is in order, sit back and relax for a minute. At the end of the month the Fool comes forward to warn you to look before you leap and that a new adventure may be in order. Now is the time to look for a new job or prospective life path but be wary and fully investigate it before jumping in with both feet!

Aries (March 21 - April 20) - Your month starts off with the Six of Cauldrons in the reversed position letting you know that now is not the time for love talk or beginning new relationships. If your already in a relationship you will find that this is a great time to reconnect with your lover!

Gemini (May 21 - June 21) - The Guide (Temperance) helps you out at the beginning of the month reminding you not to make hasty decisions or snap judgments. Take your time before critiquing or jumping to conclusions especially about people, you may turn away some very helpful people. The Two of Cauldrons comes through at mid-month letting you know a new possible partnership or friendship is going to start or that an old one will be renewed, go into it with an open mind. You end the month within the realm of the Ace of Pentacles, a great sign for money it also tells you now is the time to invest in hearth and home! Redecorate!

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 20) - The flames of creativity grab you at the beginning of the month, the Three of Rods (wands) indicates that you are ready to start some new projects and although you will be a leader, try not to do it on your own. Capricorn (Dec. 21 - Jan. 19) - The Lovers greets you at the beginning of the month, new partnerships, relationships, friendships abound. Also it indicates that of course now is the perfect time to reacquaint yourself with your other half or to find one! Now is a great time to nurture your inner romantic and fall in love all over again. The Three of Cauldrons (cups) stop by to remind you to let loose and have fun during the middle of the month! Time for a party!! The Six of Rods (wands) indicates a lot of travel happening at the end of the month but you can do so with confidence .

Aquarius (Jan. 20 - Feb. 18) - Lighthearted but a deep thinker. Aquarius you are letting your negative tape get to you. The Eight of Swords comes through speaking of someone who feels they have failed, or have been abandoned. Point of the matter is you have not failed, that is just a human concept, and every experience creates change and knowledge. This month I am using the Brotherhood of Light Egyptian Tarot Deck put out by U.S. Games Systems Inc and created by the Church of Light. These cards carry symbology from the Hermetic Brotherhood of Light each of the Major Arcana has a corresponding color as seen in the cartouche border surrounding the image. The first Brotherhood of Light Egyptian Tarot was created in 1936 by Gloria Beresforn in 2003 Vicki Brewer redesigned it and brought it from black/white into full color imagery. Only in 2009 did she fully completely the deck which took her 6 years to restore and modify. It truly is a beautiful piece of artwork, with zodiac correspondences for each card as well as numbering and more. The design is simple, the deck itself is certainly not for a beginning reader as some of the symbols may be a little distracting. If you have never been into the occult sciences some of the characters surrounding the picture may be extremely foreign however, you can always get The Sacred Tarot which provides a full history of the deck, and its meanings!

Libra - Happy Birthday all you Libras! Let's see what's in store for your birthday month! First card to come through is the Ace of Scepters reversed, telling me that right now it is time for you to back off of business and activities. The first part of the month should be focused on relaxation and recuperation! The middle of the month you enter into the Seven of Cups reversed, don't try to make too many changes at home right now, renovations and DIY projects will not go smoothly. Instead, focus on little things like rearranging furniture and cleaning. With the last of the month comes Arcanum XVII or the Star as it is better known, the Star speaks to us of hope it also tells us that Universe will work in accord with plans and ideas in the future that you dream of today. So, although you took the earlier parts of the month off, now is a time to actively imagine and dream of your future.

Aries - In the beginning of the month you pass through the Five of Cups telling you that now is the time to look for love (or let love find you) and that you need to make a point of taking self-responsibility. Own up to your flaws and mistakes, let people see that you are human. Otherwise, there may be a kink that will cause you undue stress. In the middle of the month, you meet Arcanum XII or the Martyr (Hanged Man) it warns you to be forgiving of enemies and not to cast stones. Taurus - "I know, I know I know" This will the statement you reiterate over the beginning of the month, you are in the phase of the Youth of Coins, one of the court cards which I can only associate with that of a Page. However, this card also indicates a distinctly Aquarian moment, you will be very fluid and all over the place with your thinking and ideas. Also your creativity and wit will be at an all time high, you will be able to be center of attention without being obnoxious and, people will gravitate towards you to help with possible future projects. You enter the Three of Swords in the middle of the month, the card is in it's reversed position (which we like) and indicates a strengthening of love relationships! Focus on improving your love life and being open with your partner during this time. At the end of the month the Eight of Swords comes into play bringing with it some negative experiences, however, the keyword here is EXPERIENCE! Nothing more than a bruised ego, but you've learned valuable lessons and won't make the mistake again!

Gemini - You kick off the month with the Arcanum X a.k.a. The Wheel of Fortune, indicating a time of things being up in the air and a quick change in direction. Although from the other cards it seems that this only is going to affect for a short period of time. Middle of the month the Queen of Cups greets you during this time it is all about manifesting your desires and really going after what you want even if you must force your needs into manifestation. At the end of the month you meet Arcanum XX a.k.a. The Sarcophagus get ready Gemini, you mission awaits. A new project will bring about a strong motivation for success. Push forward it's coming your way, don't worry about money or time you may end up putting more in than you expected in the beginning, but it is well worth it.

Cancer - Entering the beginning of the month is the Arcanum V: The Hierophant in his reversed position look for the words between the sentences Cancer. Your friends are trying to relay messages to you, whether they are hurting and do not want to burden you with their problems or they are trying to warn you, but you are unwilling to hear. Now is the time to listen with your heart rather than your head. In the middle of the month you meet the Ace of Swords you may receive a letter or communication from a loved one that you have not heard from in a bit, aside from that you must be aware of moodiness, it seems that during this time you are a little bit of an extremist. All or nothing and that includes your moods, either really happy or really upset, not much of an in-between. At the end of the month though comes the three of Scepters indicating a positive business agreement or partnership on the horizon. It's also a time to really market yourself as people will be more receptive to hearing what you have to say!

Leo - The wonderful Ten of Wands greets you at the beginning of the month giving you a sense of both relief and enthusiasm! Creativity is flowing and with it new discoveries. This month I am using the Tarot of the Magical Forest with artwork by Leo Tan and instructions by Giovanni Pelosini. This deck is put out by Lo Scarabeo and carried by Llewellyn. It is truly an enchanting deck, and one that is great for sparking imagination with bright imagery and cute little creatures it is really a pleasure to read! So let's see what this deck has to say about September!

Virgo - Happy Birthday Virgo!! In the beginning of the month you move into the phase of the High Priestess, represented in this deck as a wise owl peering out into the night between two trees. This is a time to use your intuition and expect to be learning some unusual things! Also be on the lookout as when you are in the phase of the High Priestess hidden truths may be revealed (life path, career change etc). A very good start to September! The middle of September bring with it the Emperor in his reversed position, this will be a particular challenge for you Virgos always capable and well ordered the Emperor in reverse indicates that many of situations you will come across will be out of your control. Now is the time to relax and go with the flow, don't try to force your will. At the end of the month comes the Two of Swords compromise is the name of the game but it is a temporary one. The little cat lady is blindfolded holding two crossed swords, this usually means that there is an argument or a fight and agreement must come. However, you must be sure to keep those swords balanced and be wise. You will move on from this quickly.

Aries - Death in it's reversed position greets you at the beginning of the month. To me death has always indicated change with sacrifice. For example, leaving town permanently for a new job, usually this would be something you can anticipate, however when Death is in it's reversed position to me it's always meant that changes may be more subtle or not at all. Hello Lovelies!
I am so sorry about the delay in the Tarotscopes! Honestly, time has gotten away with me, I just finished writing another book and the deadline was insane. So unfortunately the Tarotscopes had to suffer for it! But I'm back and ready with a forecast for this month!
Firstly let me start by explaining the deck I am using this month it is the Sun and Moon Tarot by Vanessa Decort. This is definitely a multi-cultural tarot, depicting symbology from all over the world. It is both colorful and inspiring. Alright, now let's get down to business, starting with this month's sign!

Leo - Happy Birthday to the Leos out there! Alright, starting out the month is the Queen of Swords, not a bad card. She comes in to remind you that the beginning of the month is going to center around research and communication. If you have been looking to start a project and want to learn more about it, now is the time to do it! The Ace of Cups meets you at the middle of the month you may be a little emotional, but it also speaks of the possibilities of new love. At the end of the month the Empress greets you, bringing with her the energy neccessary for creation. Now is the time to put plans into action!

Aries - The first part of the month is all about tidying up loose ends Aries, put finishing touches on projects and get ready. Mid-month the Ten of Cups comes in to remind you of the joys and love of family and friends.Something you may have been lacking while trying to finish up those projects! Then at the end of the month comes the Nine of Swords in it's reversed position, where typically you may get overwhelmed and make mountains out of mole-hills at the end of August you will have a burst of clarity and solutions to some of the issues you've been facing will present themselves.

Taurus - The Two of Wands comes in during the beginning of the month to remind you that you have control over present situations that you can change them and that ultimately it is up to you. Cancer - At the beginning of August you immediately run into the Two of Cups, all about love and relationships the Two of Cups tries to remind you to keep hold of the connections you have and to be open to the possibility of new love coming your way. Mid-month the Queen of Wands comes to you in the reversed position, now is not the time to take on any creative endeavors or to plan for future possibilities. Take some time and relax. At the end of the month the Prince of Pentacles charges in reminding you not to be reckless with your money now is the time to save!

Virgo - The Tower reversed begins your month telling you that things are not falling apart but that now is the time to rebuild. Dealing with the aftermath of a situation, again the Nine of Swords in it's revered position comes to you giving you that sudden moment of clarity. Scorpio - You've been pushing for changes around you Scorpio but the Death reversed card tells us that right now, the energy is not really with you to make them. Strength comes around the middle of the month to tell you that patience is key, and brute force is not always necessary. At the end of the month Justice comes in to tell you to step back and really look at big picture without the emotional involvement.

Sagittarius - The King of Wands rides in at the beginning of the month this is a card depicting huge changes using the trans formative energy of fire, and passion, whether planning new career move or big trip either way make it a grand occasion and be secure in it you have the King helping you! However, at the end of the month you move into the Sun! This card promises that for all of the waiting you have been doing you will have your reward, triumph and success are waiting at the end of the month!

Hello Lovelies!

The month of July has begun and with it a new edition of the tarotscopes! Yesterday I announced it on the Psychic Switch today I'm letting all of you know, I have hooked up with US Games and they will be sending me tarot decks which I will use to do my tarotscopes each month! Also if you are a lover of tarot be sure to check in at the Psychic Switch website as I will be doing a couple more tarot themed shows talking with the artists and creators about their inspiration and take on the tarot!

This month I will be using the Deviant Moon Tarot by Patrick Valenza hailed as the best deck of all time by Aeclectic Tarot. The deck was also featured in an Oprah Magazine photo shoot for a tarot-themed fragrance. It has some rather dark imagery but still its vibrant in it's colors. It is a truly beautiful deck! Now let's see how it works for you!

CANCER - Happy Birthday to all of the Cancers out there! Your going to start the month off on a little bit of a high note as you pass through the Chariot. However, you may feel a little tired and wiped out jumping through all of the hoops and obstacles to grab your victory. So be sure to take some time out for yourself. Mid-month you slide into the Ace of Pentacles reversed which gives you the go ahead to do some unexpected spending, enjoy and indulge. At the end of the month the Hierophant comes knocking at your door letting you know that it is time to continue seeking out knowledge, but do it on your own don't ask questions of everyone around you. Well it is June, the summer is here and energies are quickly shifting. So let's see what this month brings!

Aries - There is a lot for you to celebrate this month, the Nine of Pentacles indicates financial growth. Aries: Watch your empathy for the rest of the month Aries your compassionate nature may get the best of you. However, there does appear to be some attention coming your way for a good deed done. The way that the Sun comes across this seems to be more of an emotional support and getting positive feedback for helping a friend through a tough time. Towards the end of the month, it will all be about materialism as the Emperor shows his face near the end of your spread. Capricorn: It's all very future focused right now Capricorn and the cards say you are struggling to keep up with the present. In like a lion, out like a lamb: that's the old saying for the month of March. But let’s see what March really has in store for you!

Aries

The beginning of March is going to put you on shaky grounds Aries, this is shown through the Star reversed. It speaks of a lack of confidence within yourself. However, the middle of March show some money coming your way; the appearance of the Ten of Coins tells me that this is money saved or you will be putting this money towards savings. Either way this is the time to make your money work for you. It’s all about financial growth. At the end of the month there will be some miscommunications in relationships as the Four of Cups points out to me in its reversed position. It may carry through till April but this card says that it is a short lived issue.

Taurus

March will have a slow start for you, Taurus, as shown to me through the Hanged Man. The first week or so it will seem like every step forward that you take will include three steps backward. But no worries, it's not anything that will last. The Knight of Pentacles cautions you to stand back and assess a situation before charging headlong into it and taking responsibility. We look at the Knight of Pentacles as a person who always sees success in every endeavor but is also a great strategist. Take advantage of his knowledge and start making plans. The Two of Swords closes out the month with an explosive ending. The two swords representing duality and balance but not a peaceful and harmonizing way, more than likely there are answers within your situation at the end of the month that you are not choosing to see. That being said, all the blame is not to be placed on you, but yourself and someone you work in connection with. This can also be seen as a part of love, in which where the swords cross the heart is shows barriers erected and not letting anyone get in. Heed the warning of the two of swords; go into situations at the end of the month with eyes wide open and a heart that is free to feel.

Your Chariot awaits Gemini! The man who stands upon the chariot is in full control, mentally, spiritually and physically. He is much more able to channel his emotional energy towards manifestation. The Queen of Cups is your power card for the beginning of March, with both her positive and negative attributes. Who wouldn’t love to be able to recognize a toxic personality by just glancing at them? When you're hiring someone, wouldn’t you love to have that edge, to be able to tell right away if someone is orderly or slovenly, if they're looking to work their way up or are willing to settle? I take a lot of stock in the way a person’s fingers look. I know that sounds crazy, but it’s true!

Now, when you read a hand you always want to go to a subject's dominant one because it's representative of present/future. The dominant hand is the hand a person uses to write.

Take the pinky finger for instance, it’s the smallest of the five digits but it is all about getting noticed. Go through the celebrity rag mags, or sites like PopEater.com and look at pictures of your favorite public figures. How far does their pinky finger reach away from their other fingers? The farther it reaches, the more they love the spotlight! For example, look at this picture of Angelina Jolie. No matter how much she denies it, our girl lovvvess the attention she gets.

The ring finger is the finger that's dedicated to emotions. You always want to make a quick comparison of someone’s ring and pointer finger. Are they the same length? Is the ring finger longer or is the pointer longer? If the ring finger is the longest than this person is usually more emotionally oriented. In other words, they make decisions using their ‘gut’ and how they are feeling in the moment. If the pointer is longer, they're extremely logical and analytical. If their fingers are the same length they are both emotionally and logically balanced.

If their middle finger is longer than the width of their palm, your subject is very critical of the people around them. This means that they may have tendencies towards complaining or being overly negative toward situations. If their middle finger is shorter than they are critical of themselves. If their palm and middle finger are the same length, then they take an even approach.

The thumb is the seat of aggression; so if you're looking for leaders you really want to pay attention to this finger. The wider the tip the more aggressive a person will be. They will go after what they want and god forbid someone get in their way! If the pad of their thumb is flat this means that they are no push over and may have more of a tendency to be seen as a bully. If you look at the photo to the right from JustJared.com you will see on Kate’s right hand (the one not holding the bag) three things. Her pinky sticks way out (showing that she likes recognition and fame), her ring finger is longer than her pointer finger (showing that she goes mostly by emotion and is easily frazzled) and her thumb pad is flat as a pancake (which tells us she really does enjoy getting her way and may apply ample pressure to the people around her in order to do so) these are just a few of the things that you can see in Kate Gosselin’s hands.

In comparison, if we look at the hand of the late Michael Jackson, you will see that he too was more emotionally oriented. His ring finger is much longer than his pointer, because of this vast difference I would say he was an emotional extremist, either really happy or really sad with no in between. Also you will see that his fingers are shorter, meaning he was quite self-critical. The V between his thumb and palm is rather wide, indicating a very giving personality. The middle finger stands straight but his pointer is crooked indicating that he looks at things with a very different logic than most people. It also leans away from his middle finger, which tells me that he does not learn lessons through logic. In other words, he would need strong emotional consequences before he would learn not to do something again.

These are just a few of the things you can tell by looking at someone’s fingers.

Tarotscopes For February!

Hello Lovelies!

Unfortunately, because of my schedule, I will have to start posting the Tarotscopes as a monthly thing, but along with the Tarotscopes I will be highlighting some of my adventures as well! I hope this doesn't deter any of you from checking back often, as there will be new posts all of the time!

Aries

You're "get up and go, got up and went" this month, Aries. You will be suffering from a little bit of lethargy. This is indicated by the Eight of Cups, but surrounding this card you also have the Two of Discs and the Devil. Everyone always looks oddly at me when the Devil comes up in their spread. But it's not as evil a card as everyone may think. The Two of Discs indicates changes happening around you and I feel that this may pertain to work. However, you will also be in a place where it will be easy for you to adapt to these changes. The Devil gives me a little bit of a clearer insight, showing that you will be using your stubborn nature and your optimistic outlook to change a possibly negative situation into a rewarding positive one.

Taurus

The Four of Cups indicates that during the month of February you will be surrounded by material things, symbols of accomplishment and luxury, Taurus. However, it shows that you will also be restless. The Emperor also makes an appearance in your spread, which tells me that the potential for new love or even a rekindling of a current romance will take place during this month. The Princess of Disks also makes an appearance, connecting with the Emperor. If you have been looking to get pregnant now is the month to try for it. This month is great as far as fertility is concerned on all aspects. Mentally, spiritually and physically.

Gemini

The Knight of Wands appears in your cards this month, Gemini.
